The 10 Most Valuable Cryptocurrencies | TheRichest

Bitcoin made a huge entry into the market in 2009 and was the first cryptocurrency ever. It is digital money or virtual money that is generated online and stored. Each of the transactions done using virtual money is anonymous, which is why Bitcoins have become so popular.

RELATED: Bitcoin: The 10 Most Successful Cryptocurrencies (And How They Work)

Far removed from any government interference, individuals can easily transact over the internet and be secure from any political turmoil. There are now several cryptocurrencies that have come onto the market and are faring better than Bitcoin. So let’s have a look at the top ten valuable Bitcoins or cryptocurrencies in the world.

10 Ripple (XRP)

Speed is a major factor in the popularity of any cryptocurrency. Ripple started off with the advantage that it is super fast and transactions take only four seconds to complete. This is why Ripple has been one of the most valuable bitcoins ever. Ripple uses a token system that it calls XRP and you can do transactions using dollars, euros or even other cryptocurrencies.

RELATED: The Top 10 Wealthiest Bitcoin Millionaires

Another cool reason to use Ripple is that payment providers, as well as some banks, are connected to it. Customers can easily transfer money anywhere in the world. This comes with no-fee transactions too. So all Ripple customers are very happy with the system.

9 Bitcoin (BTC)

Bitcoin is the No.1 cryptocurrency in the world. It achieved this feat partly due to being the very first cryptocurrency and partly for its market value. Bitcoin uses a feature called the Blockchain or a public ledger. This blockchain is the most important feature of Bitcoin. People like to use Bitcoin because it is valuable and discreet. It is supported by various platforms and exchanges so it is easy to start using Bitcoin. Since Bitcoin’s market value is so high, it is favored by not only individuals but also companies. Bitcoin today is one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies.

8 Litecoin (LTC)

After the success of Bitcoin came another cryptocurrency called Litecoin. This used the same principles like Bitcoin where a blockchain was used to verify transactions. The advantage of Litecoin is that it is faster in processing a transaction than Bitcoin. Security is maintained by providing customers with complex algorithms. Litecoin is also another valuable cryptocurrency which is favored by many customers and companies. Today Litecoin is doing well and advancing in its features so that more and more customers have started using this valuable cryptocurrency. With more than 80 million Litecoins around the world, it does show a steady rise in popularity.

7 Ethereum (ETH)

Ethereum has its own currency which is called Ether and this is also one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world today. Ethereum also uses a blockchain system and runs a code whenever the user makes a transaction. This code is updated on the Ethereum blockchain only when it is agreed upon by other users. So the code that Ethereum uses actually removes any kind of third party involvement. Ethereum is known to be fast and this is one reason why it is also valuable. User security features on Ethereum is top-notch and so Ethereum has earned a top spot in cryptocurrencies.

6 Bitcoin Cash (BCH)

Even though Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency in the world and it is a valuable asset today, there are consumers who felt that it was slower than the newly emerging cryptocurrencies. So Bitcoin upgraded itself and the newer version is called Bitcoin Cash. Here the speed of transactions was raised to 8 megabytes.

RELATED: 10 Well-Known Companies That Accept Bitcoin

This helped Bitcoin process a lot more transactions than before. Bitcoin realized that this move helped them get more new customers and Bitcoin Cash is now one of the most valuable bitcoins ever. Reduction in the transaction fees meant that they are now able to compete with other payment companies.

5 Dash (DASH)

Cryptocurrency creators are very famous and Evan Duffield is one of them. He created Dash (originally calling it Darkcoin) once he understood Bitcoin. He wanted to make it a more secretive cryptocurrency so that monetary transactions could be untraceable. A master code network that is decentralized makes this system a success. Dash is today one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world and its market value is always high. The security features of this bitcoin are superb and this is the reason why so many consumers prefer Dash to other cryptocurrencies. Dash, launched in 2014, is a good way to transact online.

4 Monero (XMR)

Among the newer cryptocurrencies to enter the market is Monero. Monero has earned the top spot in valuable bitcoins because of its high security features. Being on the open-source platform adds to the popularity of this bitcoin. The decentralized network and use of ring signatures makes Monero ideal for all customers wanting to transact online. With just one real participant amidst a group of signatures, it becomes impossible to isolate them. Though this feature does raise eyebrows for some as criminal cases could go up, Monero still holds the top spot among cryptocurrencies. Its market value is on a steady incline.

3 Cardano (ADA)

One of the latest cryptocurrency is Cardano, created by Charles Hoskinson. He released Cardano in 2017 and used the technology of Ethereum in the creation of Cardano. Transparency of transactions is a great thing about Cardano, which uses Dapps, a smart contract. The main benefit to customers is that international transactions can now be done in a matter of seconds. This has increased the consumer base of Cardano and brought it up to a top spot. New technology used in Cardano helps to remove the failings of other older cryptocurrencies. Cardano is now considered one of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world.

2 Zcash (ZEC)

Zcash is another of the most valuable cryptocurrencies in the world due to their selective transparency mode. Here Zcash uses a blockchain to make all transactions verifiable by other miners. But there is a slight difference. Names of the sender or receiver and the amount being transacted are all private. This information does not go out in the public ledger. Zcash has been able to increase its customer base for this very reason. The market value of Zcash has also gone up considerably. Zcash and its technique zk-SNARK together give power to the consumer and this makes Zcash a valuable commodity in the virtual world.

1 NEO (NEO)

A cryptocurrency from China that is now one of the most valuable bitcoins is NEO. It was created by a Chinese man named Da Hongfei who used Ethereum-like coding. He added a support system in such a way that it could be used with Java, C++ or even Go. NEO has a great market value and remains in the top best cryptocurrency list today. Making a mark for itself, NEO has broadened it customer reach and now world over people are using NEO as transaction currency in the virtual world. As its relationship with the Chinese government is solid, there are no problems foreseen for the success of NEO.

An 8-Year-Old Boy Was YouTube's Highest Earner In 2019

Ryan Kaji has been named YouTube's highest earner for the second year running. The eight-year-old raked in a cool $26 million this year.

As the decade comes to a close, many of us will be reflecting on the last ten years and thinking about what has changed. One of the biggest changes for society as a whole has been the way in which we consume media. The era of physical media has long been left in the past and most of us now stream our music, movies, and TV shows.

There are plenty of headlines detailing how there's now less money to be made for the artists and the actors thanks to the switch to streaming. However, Forbes' list of the highest earners on YouTube in 2019 would beg to differ. Not only is there literally millions of dollars to be made, but the door to those millions is now open to a lot more people.

RELATED: 10 Of The Richest YouTube Stars From The Last Decade (& Their Net Worth)

That is demonstrated perfectly by the person at the top of that list. Ryan Kaji, the eight-year-old star of YouTube channel Ryan's World. Kaji made a cool $26 million this year, making him the highest-paid YouTuber for the second year in a row. He even bettered his 2018 total by another $2 million, plus has struck up deals for shows with Nickolodeon and Hulu.

via The Digital Wise

Kaji isn't the only person to have killed it on YouTube this year. A group of YouTubers collectively known as Dude Perfect also managed to break the $20 million mark for their videos during which they attempt to break Guinness World Records. There was someone even younger than Kaji to make 2019's top ten, though. That honor goes to Anastasia Radzinskaya who is just five years old.

Radzinskaya's parents post videos of the little one receiving treatment for cerebral palsy. Those clips have clearly warmed the hearts and garnered the attention of people around the world as Radzinskaya's channels collectively have more than 100 million subscribers. Perhaps she will be able to knock Kaji from YouTube's high-earning top spot in 2020. She will need to build on the $18 million she made this year in order to do that, though.

"The Dark Knight Rises" Voted Top Movie Of The Decade In LADbible Poll

The 2010s are coming to a close, and now's a popular time for everyone to reflect on the best of the best in what was a historic decade for the ages.

Once again, those who follow the Cinema industry were blessed with plenty of blockbuster films. The 2010s consisted of countless superhero films as well as sequels and reboots to some of our favorite films from previous decades.

When it comes to the 2010s, there is obviously no consensus pick for the top film of the decade. There are dozens of movies that made a compelling case as being the greatest of them all.

LADbible decided to have some fun in settling the debate. On their official Twitter page, they asked viewers to vote for the best film of the 2010s. The options consisted of Inception (2010), Toy Story 3 (2010), The Dark Knight Rises (2012) and The Wolf of Wall Street (2013).

By the slimmest of margins, The Dark Knight Rises won the poll, receiving 38 percent of the votes. The Wolf of Wall Street was a very close second at 37 percent, while Inception and Toy Story 3 received 16 and nine percent of the responses, respectively.

The Dark Knight Rises surpassed the $1 billion mark at the box office, and it's widely considered to be among the greatest superhero films in history. Only The Avengers and Skyfall made more money at the box office than The Dark Knight Rises.

When it comes to debating the top films of the 2010s, there's no denying that Nolan's final Batman movie belongs in the discussion. It was a mega success from financial and critical standpoints, and it set an even higher bar for future Batman films.

Minnesota Vikings Kicker Dan Bailey Earns $1 Million Bonus In Week 17

Thanks in large part to Dan Bailey's consistency, the Minnesota Vikings are headed to the NFL postseason for the third time in five years - and with the playoff ticket comes a special bonus for the veteran kicker.

Heading into Sunday's meaningless Week 17 showdown against the Chicago Bears, Bailey had made 23 of 25 field goal attempts. ESPN's Adam Schefter noted that if Bailey had stayed above the 90 percent threshold, he'd receive a $1 million bonus.

Well, Bailey was successful on all four of his field goal attempts - thus finishing the season with a superb 93.1 field goal percentage -- the fourth best of his career. Bailey made his lone extra point attempt as well in a 21-19 loss to the Bears.

Schefter noted that Bailey's bonus would fall down to $750,000 if his field goal percentage for the year fell between 87.5 and 90, and to $500,000 if it was between 84 and 87.5 percent.

With that, Bailey easily maintained the required threshold to receive the extra $1 million on his payday. Bailey re-upped on a one-year pact worth $1 million with Minnesota in the offseason.

Bailey was the Dallas Cowboys' kicker from 2011 to 2017, earning a Pro Bowl selection in the 2015 campaign. The team surprisingly released Bailey before the 2018 season, and the clutch kicker has gotten the last laugh.

Bailey has the sixth-highest field goal percentage in NFL history at 87.313 percent. The Cowboys went through two kickers in 2019, Brett Maher and Kai Forbath. The former was released after making just 66.7 percent of his field goal opportunities, and Forbath filled in nicely by making all seven attempts.

After a disappointing showing in 2018, the Vikings rebounded nicely and clinched the second wild card spot in the NFC. They are set to visit Drew Brees and the NFC South division champion New Orleans Saints this Sunday. An Interview with AMD’s CTO Mark Papermaster: ‘There’s More Room At The Top’

On the back of a very busy 2019, AMD is gaining market share and is now a performance leader in a lot of CPU segments. The company has executed well not only with a good product but also at a time when its main competition is having manufacturing and production issues, which means AMD is ripe to push boundaries, gain market share, and make noise with a lot of wins. This year AMD’s Ryzen 3000 CPUs and EPYC Rome CPUs both have the new Zen 2 microarchitecture built on TSMC’s 7nm, something that might not have been possible without deep co-optimization between the two companies for a high performance product. AMD is also making strides with its relationships with enterprise OEMs. We touched on these topics (and more) with AMD’s CTO, Mark Papermaster.

Someone Returned A Christmas Gift At 7:02am On Christmas Morning

Some unhappy gift recipient was so peeved about one of their holiday gifts that they returned the present online before most of us were even awake.

Christmas has been and gone and many of us will have been left with a pile of gifts, some of which we don't want. That might sound a little ungrateful but it's the truth. People receive presents that they will never use or consume. They will simply be put in a cupboard to gather dust for the rest of time.

Unless those gifts are returned, of course. While it won't be likely that a person will gift you a receipt along with your unwanted present, many places will allow you to exchange it. That is if the recipient can figure out where it was purchased from. Those places will also give customers 28 days to return an item, in most cases at least.

Which begs the question, why do so many people feel the need to return their gifts as soon as is humanly possible? Some rush to the store on December 26 in an attempt to get rid of it as soon as possible. However, with the advent of online shopping, some people aren't even waiting that long. That's right, some have been returning gifts before Christmas Day is even over.

In fact, PayPoint has revealed that some people make their returns before Christmas Day has even really begun, reports UniLad. According to PayPoint's records, the first return made in the UK this Christmas was at 7:02 am on December 25. It reported where the return took place, but not what the item was, although clearly it was one of the worst holiday gifts ever given. We mean, at least wait until lunchtime.

Three more gifts were returned before 8 am, and one person in London returned seven parcels all at once. A bad Christmas morning for that guy or gal. A total of 419 parcels were returned in the UK this Christmas Day. What ungrateful people they are. 7:02 am is far from the record for the earliest returned Christmas gift, though. In 2015, someone returned a present at 1:53 am. Honestly, we would still consider that Christmas Eve.

TureMetal Builds a Fanless 32-Core EPYC PC with an RTX 2070

Turemetal, a maker of cases for fanless PCs, has published photos of a passively cooled system featuring an AMD EPYC processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card. The computer uses numerous custom components, with the founder of TureMetal stating that this is a custom build for a specific customer, although it uses one of their standard fanless PC cases.

The fanless system built by Turemetal is powered by AMD’s 32-core EPYC 7551 processor, listed as having a 180 W TDP, and GIGABYTE’s NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 video card with a 175 W TDP (355W total). These are both equipped into a Supermicro ATX motherboard, and then built inside a commercially available Turemetal UP10 chassis.

The motherboard inside

Officially the chassis supports a 140 W CPU and a 160 W GPU (300W total), but it looks like its actual capabilities are more impressive, and with a bit of tweaking it can house a rather extreme 32-core processor and a high-end graphics board.

At this time, according to Turemetal's YouTube channel, the system has passed FurMark's full-load test for CPU and GPU for 22 continuous hours without a crash or thermally throttling. In the video, we see a GPU temperature of 88C, and a CPU temperature of 76C, in a 24C ambient room.

Since the Turemetal UP10 was not designed for AMD’s EPYC processors, in order to meet the demands of the customer Turemetal had to build a custom copper heat spreader for the processor along with an appropriate mounting mechanism. The radiator weighs nearly 2.5 kilograms, so we are literally talking about heavy metal here. The test system currently uses an external PSU, but Turemetal says that eventually power supply will be moved inside the PC.

It remains to be seen when and whether the UP10 chassis with AMD EPYC 7551 support will be available commercially - if the custom block will be an 'add-on', or limited to specific customer requests. Meanwhile, good news is that some of Turemetal’s products are now available not only directly from Taobao, but also from Fully Silent PCs in the US and will soon be available in Europe shortly, reports FanlessTech.
