[Report] George Kittle & 49ers Aren't "Close At All" On New Deal

George Kittle has asserted himself as the best tight end in the NFL, and at some point, he should be the highest-paid player at the position..

But according to NFL Network's Mike Silver (h/t NFL.com's Jeremy Bergman), Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers are "not close at all" on a new contract.

The 26-year-old Kittle is entering the final year of his rookie deal, and he's slated to hit free agency in 2021. Because he wasn't a first-round pick, Kittle's contract doesn't include a fifth-year option.

It's a bit surprising to hear that the 49ers and Kittle haven't made any progress. He's only entering his prime years now, and Kittle has been the team's best player over these past two seasons.

In his 2018 sophomore year, Kittle recorded a whopping 1,377 receiving yards - the most ever for a tight end in a single season. He followed it up with 85 receptions for 1,053 yards and five touchdowns, helping the 49ers reach Super Bowl LIV - where they eventually fell to the Kansas City Chiefs.

According to Spotrac.com, Hunter Henry of the Los Angeles Chargers is currently the highest-paid tight end at $10.607 million, having received the franchise tag in the offseason.

RELATED: Forbes: Roger Federer Is The Highest-Paid Athlete Of 2020

Pro Bowler Austin Hooper - who signed a four-year, $44 million deal with the Cleveland Browns in free agency - is right behind Henry at $10.5 million. Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce is the third highest-paid tight end at approx. $9.368 million. In all, 12 different NFL tight ends are slated to make at least $7 million in 2020.

One way or another, the 49ers have to find a way to secure Kittle on a long-term deal. He's been a valuable part of their resurgence to the NFC's elite, and Kyle Shanahan's offense relies aplenty on Kittle's skill sets. Jimmy Garoppolo simply doesn't have another playmaker of Kittle's caliber to work with.

There's still plenty of time to get a deal done, however. 49ers fans shouldn't get too concerned just yet.

New "Goosebumps: Dead of Night Game" Video Game Announced, Trailer Revealed

R.L. Stine's timeless Goosebumps book series is spawning another video game.

According to multiple reports, Scholastic, Sony Pictures and Cosmic Forces will team up for a new game, Goosebumps: Dead of Night. It will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and DC.

The game is slated for a summer release. IGN shared a one-minute trailer for the new Goosebumps installment, which you can see below:

The game summary (h/t IGN) outlines that Slappy the Dummy is up to his old tricks again. The popular Goosebumps villain "has stolen the pages from classic Goosebumps tales, unleashing a nightmare of legendary monsters who are out to get you!"

The game summary also details that viewers must prevent getting captured by other well-known Goosebumps villains -  Lawn Gnomes (from Revenge of the Lawn Gnomes), Graveyard Ghoul (from Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls), the Werewolf of Fever Swamp (from the book of the same name), Murder the Clown and Annihilator 3000.

Users will have to find clues, avoid detection from monsters and even "solve Slappy's devious clues."

The first Goosebumps video game, Goosebumps: Escape from Horrorland, was released in 1996 on Windows. This was based on one of Stine's most popular Goosebumps books, One Day at HorrorLand.

RELATED: "Goosebumps" & "Fear Street" Author R.L. Stine Releasing A New Book Series

A year later, Attack of the Mutant - the second Goosebumps video game - was released. This was based on the novel and episode of the same name. Released on PC, it featured voice cameos from Adam West (he played the Galloping Gazelle in the television adaptation) and James Belushi (he voiced the main villain, the Masked Mutant).

Goosebumps HorrorLand was the third video game, released in 2008. In 2015, Goosebumps: The Game was released just before the Goosebumps movie (starring Jack Black) hit the big screens. The two most recently released Goosebumps video games were Night of Scares (2015) and Horror Town (2018).

A reboot of the '90s live-action television series is in the works.

Forbes: Roger Federer Is The Highest-Paid Athlete Of 2020

Forbes released their annual list of the the highest-paid athletes, and tennis legend Roger Federer claimed the top spot for 2020.

Federer has made $100 million in endorsements this year, and $6.3 million in salary/winnings. His $106.3 million earnings narrowly kept him in first place ahead of Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo, who's made $105 million this year.

Lionel Messi - often regarded as the greatest footballer of his generation - is third with $104 million. $72 million of it has come in salary/winnings. Neymar, another world-class footballer, is fourth at $95.5 million.

Last year, Messi topped Forbes' highest-paid athletes list at $127 million (h/t Timothy Rapp of Bleacher Report). Neymar was second ($105 million), followed by boxer Canelo Alvarez at $94 million and Federer at $93.4 million.

Three NBA superstars - LeBron James, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant - claimed the fifth, sixth and seventh spots on the list, respectively. James has made $88.2 million in 2020, with $60 million coming in endorsements.

Curry, a two-time NBA MVP and three-time NBA Champion, has made $74.4 million in 2020. Durant, Curry's former Golden State Warriors teammate who now plays for the Brooklyn Nets, has made $63.9 million.

Golf icon Tiger Woods placed eighth on Forbes' 2020 rankings with $62.3 million, with $60 million of that coming in guarantees. NFL quarterbacks Kirk Cousins (Minnesota Vikings) and Carson Wentz (Philadelphia Eagles) rounded out the top 10 with $60.5 million and $59.1 million in earnings, respectively.

RELATED: [Report] NBA Is Targeting A July 31 Date For Return To Play

The rest of the top 20 (from 11 to 20 in order) featured Tyson Fury, Russell Westbrook, Lewis Hamilton, Rory McIlroy, Jared Goff, Conor McGregor, James Harden, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder.

Of course, the COVID-19 pandemic has greatly affected several of the player earnings. Athletes in individual sports like Federer and Woods would have made even more if they were able to compete in (and even win) more tournaments that weren't postponed or canceled.

The NHL and NBA are looking at ways to salvage the 2019-20 campaigns, while Major League Baseball continues to work on a safe plan to play out the 2020 campaign. Right now, the NFL is planning to play out the 2020 season as scheduled.

Intel to Discontinue Core i9-9900K Special Dodecahedron Packaging

One of the interesting elements of this profession is dealing with how the processor companies have changed their attitudes towards marketing their products over the past couple of decades. After years of bland boxing and sub-standard coolers, there have been recent efforts to produce something eye-catching to users casually browsing shelves, especially in an effort to draw attention to the high-end products. While ultimately the packaging has little-to-no value after unboxing the product, beyond perhaps the background in a gaming stream, it does mark a change in attitudes, especially when product packaging can accelerate the hype around a product.

One of the recent product packaging efforts from Intel was the dodecahedral packaging for its halo desktop product, the Core i9-9900K. While AMD has focused special packaging for high-end desktop, Intel it seems prefers to point it into the desktop product line. This packaging is a transparent blue dodecahedron, with the CPU at the center. No cooler is bundled, and the packaging is large for the processor, but it certainly made it stand out.

Intel launched Comet Lake a couple of weeks ago, its 10th generation Core product, with the flagship i9-10900K sitting at the top of the stack. As the Core i9-9900K no longer sits in that top spot, Intel has decided to discontinue versions of the 9900K in its special packaging. Specifically, retailers have until June 26th to order these processor versions, and the last shipment will be on July 10th. This is a very quick discontinuance procedure, however the non-special retail version will still be available.

At some point in this market, we are going to get a product with iconic packaging. One could argue if the packaging makes the product interesting at all – given how users tend to focus on a specific processor for their build, is spending potentially slightly more for the fancy box ever justified? You may think that this news post is somewhat arbitrary, talking about packaging discontinuance, but it perhaps yields a bigger question in the processor market – does packaging matter? Or the contents – a message from the CEO on a special anniversary edition, or the signature on the heatspreader?

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 Gets The Green Light From Paramount

Paramount has officially given the go-ahead to a Sonic the Hedgehog sequel, confirming the writer and director of the first movie will return.

It seems like a lifetime ago since we were last allowed to go into a movie theater. Chances are one of the last movies many of you reading this went to see was Sonic the Hedgehog. Released in February of this year, Sonic was the unexpected hit of 2020, especially since all the other unexpected hits have been postponed indefinitely.

A little less than a year prior to its release, a trailer revealing an odd-looking live-action Sonic had half the blue hedgehog's fans laughing hysterically, and the other half brimming with rage. The reaction led to Paramount pushing back the release of the movie in order to fix it. A wise decision and the film wound up going on to break all sorts of video game movie adaptations at the box office.

RELATED: Sonic The Hedgehog Surpasses Detective Pikachu To Become Highest-Grossing Video Game Movie

Those of you yet to see the movie might want to look away now as there are some pretty major spoilers ahead. Despite the poor reaction during the build to Sonic's release, Sega and Paramount still loaded up its ending with pointers towards a sequel. Robotnik adopting the video game villain's signature look, and the arrival of Tails during the credits.

However, there was no confirmation that a sequel would definitely be coming, until now. Paramount has revealed to Variety that Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is a-go, and the sequel is in the very early stages of production. Director of the first movie Jeff Fowler will return, as will writers Pat Casey and Josh Miller. Casting for the project has not yet been confirmed.

Production on the project hasn't started yet, nor has the studio decided when it will. As exciting as this news is, we still do live in very uncertain times. Barring the announcement that Sonic 2 will indeed happen, this might be the last we hear about the project for a while. As for when Sonic fans can expect to see it in theaters, well, likely everything seems to feel at present, that is going to be a very long way off.

Matthew Judon Signs $16.3 Million Franchise Tag With Baltimore Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens have been one of the busiest teams this offseason, and another major order of business was completed on Thursday.

According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, linebacker Matthew Judon signed his franchise tender with the Ravens.

Per the team's official website, Judon is set to make $16.3 million for the 2020 season. The two sides now have until July 15 to agree to terms on a long-term contract.

Judon has been a major contributor on the Ravens defense since entering the NFL in 2016. He's coming off his first Pro Bowl season, having recorded career bests in sacks (9.5) and forced fumbles (four).

The 27-year-old Judon has 28.5 sacks though 62 career games.

The Ravens drafted Judon in the fifth round - 146th overall - in 2016. Legendary executive Ozzie Newsome (now retired) was widely regarded as the best drafting general manager during his tenure with the Ravens.

He consistently found great value in the later rounds, and Judon was a primary example. The latter has emerged as one of the game's best linebackers, and he played an instrumental role in helping Baltimore win the AFC North in 2018 and 2019.

The Ravens had the third-best scoring defense in 2019 under defensive coordinator Don "Wink" Martindale. The unit finished second in that category during the 2018 season, thanks in large part to Judon's efforts.

RELATED: Look: Tom Brady Is Selling His Cadillac Escalade ESV For $300,000 [Photos]

Judon isn't the only star that the Ravens will try to sign long-term. Pro Bowl offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley could soon pass Houston Texans standout Laremy Tunsil as the highest-paid offensive lineman in the league.

The Ravens had the NFL's best record last season (14-2), thanks to their defense and 2019 league MVP Lamar Jackson. They were eliminated by the Tennessee Titans in the Divisional Round, however, prompting GM Eric DeCosta to make several big moves.

DeCosta traded for Pro Bowl pass rusher Calais Campbell before drafting studs in linebacker Patrick Queen, running back J.K. Dobbins and wide receiver Devin Duvernay. The pieces are there to win now, and it'd be a nice bonus if they could get Judon under a long-term deal.

Over weeks following that we saw outstandingly good devices from Xiaomi, Huawei, LG, and in particular OnePlus. The new OnePlus 8 Pro really changed things up for the company as the new device can no longer be called a “flagship-killer”, but rather an outright flagship – with no compromises in features, but also with a higher price tag.

The Next Villain The Avengers Face In The MCU Could Be The Hulk

The next villain the Avengers have to band together and face in the MCU could well be the Hulk, according to a very convincing fan theory.

Over the course of the past decade, Marvel's toughest heroes have had to face some of the most dastardly villains the MCU has to offer. As individuals, various teams, and the Avengers. However, the hardest villain of all to thwart was Thanos. More than 20 movies and multiple threads led to all of the MCU 's heroes banding together to finally bring him down in Endgame.

Not only did it take everything the Avengers had to offer to take down the Mad Titan, but they lost a couple of team members in the process. Black Widow and Iron Man. Yes, Captain America has walked off into the sunset too, but Thanos can't really be held accountable for that. Anyway, all of this begs the question, who can possibly pose a bigger threat to the Avengers than Thanos for the superhero team's fifth movie?

RELATED: Marvel Has No Plans To Make Deadpool 3 For At Least Five Years

Well, there is every possibility that the next problem the Avengers have to team up to take down comes from within their own ranks. Redditor smileimhigh has reason to believe Hulk will turn on his hero friends, and their theory makes a lot of sense. The Endgame snap fans left theaters thinking about was Tony Stark's, but that wasn't the snap which brought everyone back.

via Time Magazine

Earlier in the movie, Hulk wielded the Stark-made Infinity Gauntlet and brought back everyone who had disappeared five minutes earlier. Not only that, but he did so without dying right after. Since Iron Man pulled off the snap that finally defeated Thanos, Hulk's earlier act of heroism was brushed over, almost forgotten.

Resent for his actions being swept aside along with the grief caused by the loss of Black Widow could lead Bruce Banner, who has managed to get his angry alter ego under control, to snap. Snap in a way that Marvel movie-goers have never seen before. There are different, more powerful version of Hulk yet to come should Marvel Studios pull inspiration from the comic books, and it could spell big trouble for the rest of the Avengers.

Baltimore Ravens Star Ronnie Stanley Could Become NFL's Highest-Paid Offensive Lineman

Ronnie Stanley was an instrumental part of the Baltimore Ravens' success in 2019, helping them win 14 games, thanks to the efforts of league MVP Lamar Jackson.

Stanley was a major contributor on one of the NFL's best offensve lines of 2019. Jackson was only sacked 23 times, and he recorded 1,206 rushing yards - the most ever by a quarterback in a rookie season.

The Ravens also led the NFL with 3,296 rushing yards in 2019 - the most ever in a single season - and they averaged an impressive 206 yards on the ground per game. Without Stanley's efforts, the Ravens wouldn't have reached those impressive totals.

Add it all up, and Stanley is certainly deserving of a long-term extension. ESPN's Jamison Hensley reports "the expectation is that Stanley will become the NFL's highest-paid lineman." The 2019 Pro Bowler and First-Team All-Pro also emphasize that he wants to get paid what he's worth.

"I felt in my heart of hearts this position is one of the top two, three hardest on the field," Stanley said, per Hensley. "For (Laremy Tunsil) to get respect like that with how much he got paid made me feel very happy for him, because he deserved it."

Last month, the Houston Texans awarded Tunsil a four-year, $66 million extension that made him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the league. The market for top-tier lineman has gone up rapidly over the past year, so Stanley's new deal is coming at the perfect time.

RELATED: Look: Tom Brady Is Selling His Cadillac Escalade ESV For $300,000 [Photos]

The 26-year-old didn't give up a single sack last season (per Pro Football Focus), and with franchise legend and eight-time Pro Bowl guard Marshal Yanda now retired, the Ravens will lean more on Stanley in 2019.

The Ravens will eventually have to sign Jackson and Stanley to lucrative long-term deals, but general manager Eric DeCosta has quickly become one of the NFL's best at managing the salary cap. There's no doubt that he'll eventually agree to contracts with both stars.

Despite leading the NFL with a 14-2 record last year, the Ravens were upset by the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Divisional Round. DeCosta added more talent to the roster by acquiring veteran pass rushing star Calais Campbell in a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Patrick Queen, J.K. Dobbins and Devin Duvernay selections could pay major dividends, too.

MLB's Plan For 2020 Season Includes Significant Salary Cuts, $200 Million In Postseason Bonuses

The MLB and MLBPA continue to race against time as they try to figure out a logical plan to salvage the 2020 season.

On Tuesday, it was reported by Jesse Rogers and Jeff Passan of ESPN.com that the players' union balked at the league's new economic proposal. The plan would see a giant cut in player salaries for the 2020 season.

The latest proposal, according to Passan and Rogers, would see an 82-game season commence "in early July" following three weeks of spring training play.

The report also outlined that MLB's proposal including a whopping $200 million in postseason bonuses. There would be $25 million awarded for the division series, $50 million for the ALCS/NLCS and $125 million for the World Series.

Jon Heyman of MLB Network outlined the league's proposed pay scale:

The 2020 season was set to begin on March 26, with all 30 teams in action that day. The regular season was scheduled to conclude on Sept. 27, with the playoffs beginning two days later.

Game 7 of the World Series, if necessary, would have taken place on Oct. 28.

RELATED: Look: Tom Brady Is Selling His Cadillac Escalade ESV For $300,000 [Photos]

Meanwhile, the NHL announced its plans to eventually resume play with a 24-team postseason format. The top four seeds in each conference will get first-round byes, with the other 16 playoff teams taking part in a best-of-five qualifying round series to determine who will go to the round of 16. Commissioner Gary Bettman wasn't able to provide any specific dates on a resumption of play.

The NBA was the first major professional sports league in North America to suspend their season. The league remains optimistic about finishing out the season, but those plans haven't been finalized.

The 2020 NFL season is scheduled to begin on Sept. 10, with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans. Right now, Super Bowl LV is scheduled for Feb. 7 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Arm Announces Ethos-N78 NPU: Bigger And More Efficient

Yesterday Arm released the new Cortex-A78, Cortex-X1 CPUs and the new Mali-G78 GPU. Alongside the new “key” IPs from the company, we also saw the reveal of the newest Ethos-N78 NPU, announcing Arm’s new second-generation design.

Over the last few years we’ve seen a literal explosion of machine learning accelerators in the industry, with a literal wild west of different IP solutions out there. On the mobile front particularly there’s been a huge amount of different custom solutions developed in-house by SoC vendors, this includes designs such as from Qualcomm, HiSilicon, MediaTek and Samsung LSI. For vendors who do not have the design ability to deploy their own IP, there’s the possibility of licensing something from an IP vendor such as Arm.

Arm’s “Ethos” machine learning IP is aimed at client-side inferencing workloads, originally described as “Project Trillium” and the first implementation seeing life in the form of the Ethos-N77. It’s been a year since the release of the first generation, and Arm has been working hard on the next iteration of the architecture. Today, we’re covering the “Scylla” architecture that’s being used in the new Ethos-N78.

Suicide Squad Director Wants His Own Snyder Cut | TheRichest.com

Suicide Squad director David Ayer wants DC fans to see the version of his movie he wanted fans to see before it was altered and released.

Last week, the DC fanbase got something it was probably starting to believe it never thought it would. The Snyder Cut of 2017's Justice League. Zack Snyder directed most of the movie, only to leave late on due to a family tragedy. Joss Whedon took his place and rather than tie up loose ends, Snyder's vision for the movie was changed entirely.

It sounds like the Snyder Cut was much more in keeping with the dark and gritty nature that makes DC movies great. Look no further than Joker and The Dark Knight for perfect examples of that. Well, fans will now get to find out if that's the case as the Snyder Cut will be released exclusively on HBO Max in 2021.

RELATED: Zack Snyder's Justice League Exists, And It's Coming To HBO Max

That has got people questioning whether another DC movie that didn't live up to the billing might get the same treatment. Suicide Squad received so much hype prior to its release. Hype it didn't really live up to. When director David Ayer was asked on Twitter if he would like to see the Suicide Squad he wanted to be released make it onto HBO Max along with the Snyder Cut, he answered with a resounding yes.

"It’s exhausting getting your ass kicked for a film that got the Edward Scissorhands treatment. The film I made has never been seen," Ayer explained. What's even worse for Ayer is he wasn't replaced as Suicide Squad's director. The movie was simply altered prior to release so that it wasn't in keeping with his vision. Much like Justice League, it felt as if DC was trying to be more like Marvel as opposed to sticking to what makes its movies great.

As DC is attempting to reboot the Suicide Squad franchise via the sequel in the works right now, it's unlikely an Ayer Cut will make it onto HBO Max any time soon. Then again, Warner Bros. is happy to finally show fans the Snyder Cut even though work is currently underway on The Batman. Fans might one day get to see the Ayer Cut of Suicide Squad, but it might take years of campaigning as it did for the Snyder Cut.

Peyton Manning Won't Rule Out Possibility Of A Future NFL Broadcasting Job

Given his strong personality and well-documented knowledge of the game, many believed that Peyton Manning would enter an NFL coaching or broadcasting gig after his retirement.

The five-time MVP retired in 2016, a month after helping the Denver Broncos win Super Bowl 50. But the 44-year-old Manning hasn't rushed on deciding the next part of his future in football.

Last month, Manning ruled out a potential football coaching job in the future. Manning expressed doubts about his ability as a coach, noting that being "a successful football player doesn't mean you'll be a good coach."

Back in March, it was reported that Manning rejected an offer from ESPN to work as an analyst on their Monday Night Football program. The network announced that play-by-play man Joe Tessitore and lead analyst Booger McFarland wouldn't return in their respective Monday Night Football roles for the 2020 season.

So Manning has ruled out coaching, and he hasn't taken on any analyst gigs yet. However, this doesn't mean that we won't one day see the future Hall of Famer in the broadcast booth.

Appearing on The Rich Eisen Show (h/t Will Petersen of 9News), Manning emphasized that he isn't fully closing the door on a future in broadcasting.

"I haven't said 'no' forever, I've said 'no' to this year. It doesn't feel like the right time. I believe in taking it a year at a time," Manning said. "I don't really have a five-year plan or a 10-year plan. I've just tried to ease into this second chapter by keeping myself busy, keeping myself stimulated.

"I love watching the games, going to games - we still go to all the Broncos' games. I catch myself analyzing the game in my head when I'm watching it," Manning explained. "(Broadcasting) is not in the cards for me right now, but can't say never forever."

RELATED: "The Match II" Averaged 5.8 Million Viewers, Most-Watched Golf Telecast Ever

Manning's personality shined through during the Saturday Night Live appearances and countless television commercials. Renowned for his ability to read defenses - and for constantly calling audibles at the line of scrimmage - Manning would undoubtedly succeed in an NFL analyst gig.

Many other Hall of Fame quarterbacks - including Steve Young, Dan Fouts, Terry Bradshaw and Troy Aikman - have found success as analysts/broadcasters in their post-playing careers.

Manning may not be ready for the new career yet, but if he wants to do it down the road, one has to think that the major networks will be lining up for his services. It's not every day where arguably the best quarterback in NFL history enters the broadcast booth, after all.

Arm's New Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 Microarchitectures: An Efficiency and Performance Divergence

2019 was a great year for Arm. On the mobile side of things one could say it was business as usual, as the company continued to see successes with its Cortex cores, particularly the new Cortex-A77 which we’ve now seen employed in flagship chipsets such as the Snapdragon 865. The bigger news for the company over the past year however hasn’t been in the mobile space, but rather in the server space, where one can today rent Neoverse-N1 CPUs such as Amazon’s impressive Graviton2 chip, with more vendors such as Ampere expected to release their server products soon.

While the Arm server space is truly taking off as we speak, aiming to compete against AMD and Intel, Arm hasn't reached the pinnacle of the mobile market – at least, not yet. Arm’s mobile Cortex cores have lived in the shadow of Apple’s custom CPU microarchitectures over the past several years, as Apple has seemingly always managed to beat Cortex designs by significant amounts. While there’s certainly technical reasons to the differences – it was also a lot due to business rationale on Arm’s side.

Today for Arm’s 2020 TechDay announcements, the company is not just releasing a single new CPU microarchitecture, but two. The long-expected Cortex-A78 is indeed finally making an appearance, but Arm is also introducing its new Cortex-X1 CPU as the company’s new flagship performance design. The move is not only surprising, but marks an extremely important divergence in Arm’s business model and design methodology, finally addressing some of the company’s years-long product line compromises.

Arm Announces The Mali-G78: Evolution to 24 Cores

Today as part of Arm’s 2020 TechDay announcements, alongside  the release of the brand-new Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 CPUs, Arm is also revealing its brand-new Mali-G78 and Mali-G68 GPU IPs.

Last year, Arm had unveiled the new Mali-G77 which was the company’s newest GPU design based on a brand-new compute architecture called Valhall. The design promised major improvements for the company’s GPU IP, shedding some of the disadvantages of past iterations and adapting the architectures to more modern workloads. It was a big change in the design, with implementations seen in chips such as the Samsung Exynos 990 or the MediaTek Dimensity 1000.

The new Mali-G78 in comparison is more of an iterative update to the microarchitecture, making some key improvements in the matter of scalability of the configuration as well as balance of the design for workloads, up to some more radical changes such as a complete redesign of its FMA units.

Netflix To Cancel Hundreds Of Thousands Of Inactive Accounts

Netflix subscribers who haven't used their accounts for over a year could soon have their subscriptions ended.

Society must be fast-approaching a point where streaming services overtake satellite and cable television if it hasn't reached that point already. Do you know anyone who isn't subscribed to at least one streaming service in 2020? Probably not. It's also pretty likely that if someone has one streaming service, that streaming service is Netflix.

Believe it or not, there are people who aren't subscribed to Netflix. Quite a lot of people, in fact. The service's reach is still massive, though. According to Expanded Ramblings, Netflix currently has somewhere in the region of 182.86 million subscribers. What's more, it's believed that its reach hit more than 300 million people. Damn those exes still using our accounts and places we only went once and forgot to log out.

RELATED: Netflix Is Working On A Tiger King Follow-Up Episode (A Proper One This Time)

via Decider

Despite the pandemic leading to more people streaming than ever, Netflix's subscriber count is about to drop. That's due to the fact it is trimming the fat in the form of inactive accounts, reports The Independent. Any subscribers with an account that hasn't been used for a year or more will soon be contacted and asked if they would like to remain signed up. That message will either take the form of an email or in-app notification.

If the person responds that they no longer want to be signed up, or they don't respond at all, the Netflix will unsubscribe them. It's actually a pretty admirable act being taken by the streaming service. It could just carry on as normal and take money from these people every month. Instead, it is going to cut them off and stop taking money from people who might not even notice it leaving their accounts every month.

The goodwill gesture might lead to those people coming back to Netflix one day. Should that happen, their viewing history will have been kept on file which means it will be as if they never left. The inactive accounts make up less than 0.5% of all Netflix subscribers. That might not sound like a lot, but is's still almost a million people. That's a lot of money Netflix is willing to pass up on.
