Winnie the Pooh may know as a beloved Disney character to most.
But did you know that the gentle, honey-loving character was actually inspired by a real bear?
A Canadian bear actually. In the onset of the First World War, Canadian soldiers were assembling in Quebec.
Among them was Lt. Harry Colebourn, who had bought a bear cub on the way.
A bear he named Winnipeg, or Winnie for short.
