Ariana Grande and Big Sean reunite in L.A.
Ariana Grande reunited with her rapper ex Big Sean on Wednesday night after crossing paths at a Los Angeles recording studio.
The pop superstar, who dated Sean for about eight months before parting ways in April, 2015, was already at the studio when she heard Sean was there too, and she was photographed stepping outside to meet him.
They apparently decided to hang out together elsewhere, as snaps obtained by TMZ show Ariana seated in the MC’s car, holding one of her beloved pet dogs, before driving away together.
Ariana and Sean have yet to comment on the reunion, but it comes almost four months after the singer made it clear she had no regrets about their relationship as she namechecked him, along with a number of her other exes, in her hit song Thank U, Next.
The track opens with the line, “Thought I’d end up with Sean, but he wasn’t a match.”
She also shared a flirty message about him with fans in the break-up anthem’s accompanying music video, in which Ariana is featured lying on her bed, flicking through a “Burn Book” documenting her past romances.
A photo of the former couple embracing at a red carpet event graces the first page, alongside a red heart bearing his name.
Next to the picture, she wrote, “so cute, so sweet,” before adding, “(could still get it)”.
The pair is said to have called it quits shortly after the release of Big Sean’s 2015 single Stay Down, on which he seemingly references Ariana and boasts about their sex life.
“I got a million dollar chick/With a billion dollar p**sy,” he rapped on the tune, reportedly upsetting Grande, now 25, and leading to their split.
Sean went on to date R&B singer Jhene Aiko, although they were rumoured to have ended their two-year romance in November.
Grande also moved on, enjoying relationships with tragic hip-hop star Mac Miller, and then becoming engaged to comedian Pete Davidson, who she split from in October.
Following the break-up, Ariana joked that she would remain single for 2019, and maybe beyond.
Responding to a speculative article about her love life in January, she tweeted, “spoiler for the rest of this year / probably my life: it’s no one. please refer back to this tweet for future questions.”
