Maisie Williams trolls ‘Game of Thrones’ fans with epic ‘spoiler’
Maisie Williams has trolled Game of Thrones fans by “accidentally revealing” a massive spoiler.
The British actress, who plays Arya Stark on the hit HBO fantasy show, made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night to discuss the upcoming eighth and final season.
After describing her character’s top five moments, Jimmy asked Maisie if she could tease any details about the new series and she stated, “I’ve decided to just keep a tight lip on everything, HBO sent out a lot of memos recently about just saying nothing, so there’s really nothing I can say, they would absolutely kill me… I don’t know, like during shooting the final days were really, like, emotional, saying goodbye to all of the cast, because when I found out that Arya died in like the second episode, I was…”
Maisie quickly gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth, with Jimmy exclaiming, “That’s a spoiler!”
Even though the presenter reassured her that the spoiler would be edited out of the broadcast interview, the 21-year-old began shaking and proceeded to run off the set, with Jimmy not far behind her.
Yet, the duo swiftly returned from behind a curtain and yelled, “April Fools!” – making it apparent the whole interview was an April Fools’ Day prank.
