Meghan Markle rejects Queen’s doctors for baby’s birth
Meghan Markle has rejected the Queen‘s doctors for her baby’s birth.
The former American actress wants her own team to deliver her first child with Prince Harry, according to reports.
The Duchess of Sussex has appointed her own delivery team led by a female doctor.
Sources claim that she does not want “men in suits” delivering her child.
However, according to protocol, the Queen’s doctors cannot be completely excluded from the delivery.
It is understood she has rejected Royal Household gynecologists Alan Farthing and Guy Thorpe-Beeston, as her main physicians.
They are regarded among the best in the world but neither has been given the leading role in Meghan’s care.
The respected physicians attended all three of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s children.
But Meghan, 37, wants to break with tradition and go with her own team instead.
The Mail On Sunday newspaper reports there will be some role for them, and should something go wrong, they will take over.
One source said: “Meghan said she doesn’t want the men in suits. She was adamant that she wanted her own people. It did leave a few of us a little baffled.”
Another said: “It is slightly surprising. These people [the Queen’s doctors] are the best of the best and when it comes down to it, their role would actually be very limited in the birth itself, assuming all goes to plan.
RadarOnline.com previously reported how she had opted not to give birth at the famous Lindo Wing at Paddington Hospital.
Markle is expected to give birth to her first child later this month.
