Tattoo-faced Florida man arrested in murder cold case
A Florida man whose face is covered in tattoos was recently nabbed in relation to a nearly 20-year murder cold case.
According to news outlet WPTV, 51-year-old Randy Petersilge was arrested last Friday, the same day he was let out of federal prison after serving a sentence for felony firearm possession.
Last year, Petersilage was indicted on first-degree murder in relation to the 2001 fatal beating of Simon Clarke.
The Tampa Bay Times reported Clarke was found beaten to death in November 2001 at a construction site in New Port Richey, Fla. Petersilge was considered a suspect at the time, but there wasn’t enough evidence from witnesses to build a case around him.
Petersilge ended up behind bars for other crimes he committed. The man was convicted of aggravated assault on a police officer, battery on a police officer, grand theft, burglary, and firearm possession.
Cops reportedly reopened the Clarke murder case in 2017. Petersilge was indicted for murder in January 2018.
