Beyoncé's Highest-Selling Albums Of All Time, Ranked
Beyonce is amazing at whatever she does. From her crazy vocals to her amazing dance moves, her performances, and even her acting skills, Bey can truly do it all. No wonder her fans call her Queen B. Beyonce has been around for quite a while starting with her Destiny's Child days to her starting her solo career with her famous hubby Jay-Z by her side, she has put out hit after hit.
Some of her songs and albums have been more successful than others, even though in our opinion they are all jams. Here is a list of her highest selling albums ever, with number one being the top-selling.
10 Dangerously in Love- 11 million
Beyonce starting smashing records from the very beginning! This album was Beyonce's solo debut in 2003, coming off of her third album with Destiny's Child. During the recording of their third album, the group announced that they would take some time to create and release solo work and we would say Beyonce's was quite the success.
Her first album is still the highest-selling album ever even with the streaming albums we have today. This album includes hits such as "Crazy in Love" featuring Jay-Z and "Naughty Boy," which we don't know about you guys, but we still listen to both of these songs even today.
9 I Am Sasha Fierce- 8 Million
Now, who doesn't remember this album? This 2008 album was famous for introducing Beyonce's alter ego Sasha Fierce. Beyonce has stated that when she's at home she's calm and quiet, but when she gets on stage to perform she turns into someone else and that's her stage presence, Sasha Fierce.
This album also had a different vibe than the others with slow jams such as the super-popular "If I Were A Boy" and "Halo". This is how you know Beyonce is everything when songs from over 10 years ago are still getting played on the radio regularly and we are loving it!
8 B'DAY- 8 Million
This 2006 album which was called B'DAY to coincide with Beyonce's 25th birthday was really neck and neck with I am Sasha Fierce released 2 years later. Both of these albums have been reported to have sold over 8 million copies worldwide to date.
We swear every single one of her albums has a song or two that we still listen to regularly and know all the words to. This album is no different with the song that will never go out of style "Irreplaceable." Who hasn't screamed "to the left, to the left" in their car before?
7 Beyonce- 5 Million
This self-titled album released in 2013 sold 5 million copies. Beyonce wanted this album to be more visual releasing short films with each of the songs. Now, we remember this album coming out because we felt like it dove deeper into intimate matters such as sex and relationships than Beyonce had ever before, with controversial songs such as "Partition."
According to Beyonce, this was her point, stating that she kept the cover simple because she wanted to focus on black feminism. But, true to Beyonce fashion it also released a song we all love still today "Drunk In Love," which features her real-life hubby Jay-Z.
6 4- 3.5 Million
Named 4, for being her 4th album, Beyonce released this album in 2011 hoping that she could step away from her pop hits and focus on a more jazzy and soulful sound. We think she nailed it.
This album is full of hits such as "Love On Top," "Countdown," and "Run The World (Girls)". "Love On Top" has all sorts of soulful vibes as she shows off just how truly incredible her voice is.
5 Lemonade-2.5 Million
This was Beyonce's sixth studio album released in 2016, but only becoming available in April of 2019 on Spotify and Apple Music. This album was known as the cheating album as Beyonce put out a mixture of songs about her relationship with Jay-Z after his infamous cheating scandal.
We can only assume it was with a girl named Becky since Beyonce talks about him calling "Becky with the good hair". This album is also known for the amazing music videos. Beyonce did almost full movies where she talks at the beginning of each one. It's quite the production and they are worth watching.
4 Live at Wembley- 600,000
With how well the Dangerously in Love album did, it's no wonder an album of her performing those songs live at that famous Wembley Arena in London would succeed as well. She released this live album in 2004 and has since released 5 other live albums.
3 The Beyonce Experience Live Album-410,000
Of course, there would be a lot of these sold. This was the year 2007 where people would still buy DVDs to watch full concerts of their favorite celebrities.
Beyonce performed many hits for this live album at the Staples Center including the song "Me, Myself, and I" which earned her a Grammy nod.
2 Homecoming: The Live Album- 79,000
In case you have been living under a rock, Beyonce performed at Coachella in 2018 and it was a huge deal. She performed tons of her past hits including songs with Destiny's Child. Although her album didn't sell that many compared to her others, it was more than her album that made this a big deal.
Beyonce hadn't performed in a while since having her twins so she filmed herself getting ready for this comeback performance and it's now on Netflix. According to Variety, she made a 60 million dollar deal with Netflix for that film. So we hope you enjoyed it!
1 The Lion King: The Gift- 56,000
Beyonce played the beloved Nala in the reboot of the Disney Classic The Lion King. Along with playing the voice of Nala she also has many songs in the movie and also came out with an album for the movie that she felt represented Africa. This album has brand new songs such as "Brown Skin Girls" and "Spirit" that were definitely popular, but not quite of a hit as her other songs have been. The tracking for the number of copies sold (including digitally) was stopped after a couple of days.
Whether you listen to Bey or not, you have to admit she is talented and loved and this is the proof to show it!
