Flash Actor Who Played Young Barry Allen Dies Suddenly At 16
Teenage actor Logan Williams has suddenly passed away. Williams, known for his portrayal of the younger Barry Allen on The CW's The Flash, was only 16.
That is according to Canadian news outlet Tri-City News, who reports that Logan's mother Marlyse's devastation has been made worse by the fact that she isn't able to mourn with her parents due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“I am not able to hug my parents who lost their only grandchild,” she was quoted as saying. “With his talent and gorgeous looks, Logan had the potential to be a huge star."
Grant Gustin, who plays the older Barry Allen, The Flash's main protagonist, took to Instagram to share a touching post inclusive of a photo they shared with Jesse L. Martin, who plays Detective Joe West and Barry's foster dad on the show.
“Just hearing the devastating news that Logan Williams has passed away suddenly,” Gustin wrote. “I was so impressed by not only Logan’s talent but his professionalism on set. My thoughts and prayers will be with him and his family during what is I’m sure an unimaginably difficult time for them. Please keep Logan and his family in your thoughts and prayers during what has been a strange and trying time for us all. Sending love to everyone.”
The teen actor also had a role in CW series Supernatural and appeared on When Calls the Heart with Lori Loughlin. He won best actor awards and was nominated for the award for Best Newcomer during the 2015 UBCP/ACTRA awards.
Apart from acting, Logan played soccer, the guitar and was very fond of rap music. His friends remember him as a “gentle and very loving and very kind soul” on Facebook.
Logan is survived by his mother, his father Clive, as well as his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
