Tiger vs. Phil Part II Confirmed, Will Include Peyton Manning Tom Brady

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson will be accompanied by two NFL legends in the second edition of "The Match", according to Darren Rovell of The Action Network.

Multi-time MVP and Super Bowl champion quarterbacks Tom Brady and Peyton Manning will be part of the match, making it a 2-on-2 event. Per Rovell, the match will take place at some point in May, with Sunday the 24th a possibility.

The belief, according to Rovell, is that Woods and Manning will compete against Mickelson and Brady. A source told Rovell that the Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida could be a venue.

The Match: Tiger vs. Phil took place on Nov. 23, 2018 in Las Vegas. The two greatest golfers of the 21st century squared off at the Shadow Creek Golf Course for a $9 million prize.

This back-and-forth showdown required four extra playoff holes, with Mickelson finally clinching the victory on the 22nd hole (a par three).

Mickelson has won five majors in his Hall of Fame career, including three Masters. Woods has 15 majors, winning the Masters last year to cap off one of the greatest comeback stories in history. Only Jack Nicklaus (18) has more majors than Tiger.

While Woods and Mickelson engaged in the greatest one-on-one golf rivalry during the 2000s, Manning and Brady formed the most iconic football player rivalry which spanned from 2001 to 2015.

Manning and Brady squared off 17 times, with the latter winning 11 of those meetings. Five of those showdowns came in the postseason, including four AFC Championship Games. Playing with the Denver Broncos, Manning won the final meeting - the 2015 AFC title game - by a final score of 20-18.

Brady has six Super Bowl championship rings and three league MVPs on his resume. Manning, a five-time MVP and two-time Super Bowl winner, retired as the all time leader in passing yards and touchdowns. Those two records have since been broken by both Brady and Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints.
