Jonah Hill Is Officially Hollywood's Most Foul-Mouthed Actor
The numbers have been crunched and it's official! Jonah Hill has sworn on-screen more than any other actor in Hollywood.
Chances are almost everyone reading this right now will have been in a situation where they have felt incredibly uncomfortable watching a movie. An uncomfortable feeling brought on by a combination of what is happening on-screen and the people watching the movie with you. Whether it be a sex scene while your parents are in the room or someone getting brutally murdered as your little brother wanders in.
A movie with a lot of swearing can also be a big issue depending on who is in the room with you. Some movies have (a lot) more swear words than others, and some actors are more prone to dropping a curse word than their peers. Buzz Bingo has done the research and discovered which actors swear the most on-screen.
If people had put money on who that person might be, chances are the popular choices would have been the likes of Samuel L. Jackson, or Al Pacino. While both of those men made the top ten, neither of them clinched the much-coveted top spot. That honor has gone to Jonah Hill, and he probably has one movie, in particular, to thank for that.
The Wolf of Wall Street. Hill has sworn 376 times on-screen, and we'd hazard to guess about 350 of those words happened while he was alongside Leonardo DiCaprio. Speaking of which, Hill's Wolf of Wall Street co-star came in a close second. The Titanic star has sworn 367 times in movies, so just nine less than Hill. To come that close and have to settle for silver, that's gotta sting.
As for the movie with the most swear words uttered throughout, the top two actors already mentioned should give readers a clue as to what that is. That's right, The Wolf of Wall Street. It's a long movie though, so doesn't hold the title for the highest curse-to-dialogue ratio. That honor goes to Gary Oldman's Nil By Mouth. Of every 1000 words spoken in the movie, 41.3 of them are curse words. Now that's impressive.
