Sunday's Episode Of Big Brother Reached 4.18 Million Viewers
The 22nd season of Big Brother continues to deliver strong numbers for CBS.
Sunday's episode (h/t Dino-Ray Ramos of Deadline), garnered 4.18 million viewers. That was well behind the 7.1 million viewers for Sunday's episode of 60 Minutes, but Big Brother had a strong 1.0 rating in the 18-49 demographic.
This was slightly up from Thursday's episode (the second eviction of the summer), which recorded 3.98 million viewers.
CBS has to be pleased with the strong ratings, considering that they currently have competition with the 2020 NBA and NHL playoffs.
Sunday's episode included the final "Safety Suite" competition of the summer, won by Enzo Palumbo. With the victory, Enzo was able to ensure the safety of himself and another houseguest for the week. He chose to save Christmas Abbott, who won the competiion last week (she chose to save Ian Terry).
Tyler Crispen, this week's head of Household, followed the wishes of his alliance and placed Big Brother legends Janelle Pierzina and Kaysar Ridha on the block. The Power of Veto competition, which allows the winner to remove one of the nominees from possible eviction, will be aired on Wednesday.
Surprisingly, the season premiere on Aug. 5 garnered just 3.66 million viewers. That was well below the Big Brother 21 premiere (4.9 million viewers).

Keesha Smith (returning from Big Brother 10) was the first houseguest evicted on the Aug. 13 episode. Last week, Nicole Anthony (Big Brother 21) was evicted.
Both contestants were voted as America's Favorite Houseguest in their respective seasons.
This is the first Big Brother All-Star season in 14 years. Both Janelle and Kaysar were on that season, placing 10th and third, respectively. This summer, Janelle became the fourth contestant to play in four different Big Brother seasons (also in Big Brother 6, Big Brother 7 and Big Brother 14). We'll just have to wait and see on Wednesday's episode if Janelle or Kaysar managed to win the POV.
