Katie Holmes Spotted With New Boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. In NYC
On Wednesday, Katie Holmes was spotted out and about with her new boyfriend Emilio Vitolo Jr. in New York City. The actress, 41, first made her relationship public earlier this month. The Dawson’s Creek alum wore a blue surgical face mask as did the 33-year-old chef.
Vitolo Jr. is the chef at the popular Italian eatery Emilio's Ballato in Manhattan, which is owned by his father Emilio Vitolo Sr. In a review of the restaurant, New York Magazine said the spot has a 'clubby' atmosphere since Emilio Sr. decides which customers are seated as he holds court at his regular table at the front of the restaurant. Customers have included former President Barack Obama and Hollywood stars Tom Hanks and Bradley Cooper.
The couple was first linked on September 1 when they were seen at the Mediterranean restaurant Antique Garage in Manhattan's SoHo neighborhood. Later that week, they were photographed kissing at Manhattan's Peasant Restaurant. Holmes, who has kept her relationships under wraps in the past, seems to not care as much what people might think this time around.
In 2013, Homes began dating actor Jamie Foxx, 52, but kept the relationship private until going public at the Met Gala in May 2019. Soon after their appearance at the event, the couple broke up. The actress’ relationship with Foxx came on the heels of her divorce from Tom Cruise in 2012. The two share a daughter, Suri Cruise, who was born in 2006.
Holmes and Cruise began dating in 2005 and were married soon after. In 2012, the Ray Donovan actress filed for divorce. The couple reached a settlement in just 10 days. She has retained primary custody of her daughter, who lives with her in New York. Following her divorce, Holmes began attending St. Francis Xavier Church.
Prior to her relationship with Cruise, Holmes dated her Dawson's Creek co-star Joshua Jackson. In 2000, she began dating actor Chris Klein. The couple was engaged in late 2003, but in early 2005, they ended their relationship.
