Most Expensive Pairs Jeans Ever Sold | TheRichest

The world of fashion is full of gorgeous clothing that comes with a very hefty price tag. Each time a model walks the runway wearing something stunning and unique, it is assumed that it's designed for the rich and famous, and the designs quickly become the envy of admirers around the world. This typically pertains to fancy evening gowns and stunning outfits that aren't really marketable for everyday wear... but what about the casual clothes? Many will be surprised to discover that even the jeans that models are wearing are priced way out of reach for the average consumer. We often think of a pair of jeans as everyday wear - the 'no brainer' part of everyone's wardrobe that each of us effortlessly throws on for a simple trip to the grocery store. Did you know that some jeans cost upwards of $1.5 million?

The Guinness Book Of World Records listed this astronomically priced pair of jeans, and there are plenty more pairs of denim that fall into this very expensive category.

4 Secret Circus: $1.3 million

There's no doubt about it, the jeans we wear play a critical role in our wardrobe. They're worn frequently, and there are so many different styles to select from. Denim designs can accentuate or minimize certain areas of the body, and can completely transform the overall look that's achieved. Most consumers admit to being particular about the jeans they wear, but very few are prepared to spend upwards of $1.3 million for the perfect pair.

There is apparently a market for this very expensive denim, and surprisingly, the design isn't dramatically different from most other pairs of jeans. The classic cut Sweet Circus Jeans do differ in one major way  - they're actually diamond-studded. This unique pair of not so average jeans has luxurious, high quality diamonds sewn right into the back pockets, in a variety of fancy designs. These precious diamonds are sewn right into the jeans in a variety of different jewel patterns, with no two pairs of jeans being completely alike.

It may be wise to get these precious pants professionally laundered!

Precious gem stones take the spotlight once again, as the next pair of jeans featured are the jewel-studded Trashed Denim jeans from Dussault Apparel. The jaw-dropping price tag of this pair of jeans is $250,000 and you may be surprised to learn they won't look new when you purchase them. As the name suggests, the appeal of these jeans lies in their weathered-look, which is enhanced with the addition of two rubies. One ruby is a whopping 16 carats! There are also diamonds and rose gold accents added to the denim to add the luxurious affect to the beaten-up urban look. Juxtaposing casual, worn jeans with elaborate bling makes these jeans among the most desired pair on the market.

It's an exhausting process to create such expensive denim. Dollar Flow reports that these jeans have been washed thirteen times before getting stitched and died, and they are then hand painted in certain areas to create the illusion of texture and depth.

2 Levi Strauss & Co. 501: $60,000

Chances are, most people have a pair of Levis in the closets and consider them to be a daily-wear type of denim. Levi Strauss has been producing jeans in high volume since 1873, so it comes as no surprise that they are a widely popular, go-to brand for shoppers across the globe. However, there is one particular pair of Levis that stands out among the rest and comes with a significantly larger price tag.

Originally purchased in 1893 this pair of jeans was recently sold to a buyer in Southeast Asia who has an affinity for vintage clothing, and the budget to support it. He dropped $60,000 for these jeans which he plans on preserving for their historic value. Unlike the jeans made for today's market, these have no belt loops. When they were made in 1893, men primarily wore suspenders, which was reflected in this design. This makes this pair a true collector's item.

1 Escada Custom Made Jeans: $10,000

Since most people seek the 'perfect fit' when they purchase their jeans, Escada decided to create a unique denim shopping experience for those that can afford it. This led to creating a pair of jeans designed for a shopper that absolutely loved Swarovski crystals. With a $10,000 budget, the jeans were carefully crafted to include rows of hand-selected Swarovski crystals that were high in value, and meticulously sewn in to the denim fabric.

Now known as the Escada Couture Swarovski Crystal Jeans, this pair is truly unique, and requires special care.
