12 Extremely Costly Celebrity Divorces | TheRichest

When your favorite celebrity couple files for divorce it seems as if the whole world mourns for a time, followed by questions of prenup agreements and reasons causing the split.

The more money the couple has, the uglier it can get and fans can’t stop talking about the drama and money exchanged between the two.

Despite divorce rates in America at nearly 50 percent, there are still a few that rise to the top as most expensive and most dramatic.

12 David and Shannon Beador

The Real Housewives of Orange County stars have had their share of ups and downs over the years, including David’s extramarital affair. They worked on the marriage and fans thought they’d make it through, however, Shannon filed for divorce in 2017. Eventually the pair signed a non-disclosure agreement and finalized the court proceedings.

While currently awaiting a judge’s decision, Bates is wasting no time auctioning Collins’ records and awards that were inside the home they once shared. According to Marie Claire, Collins’ has also paid another ex-wife, Jill Tavelman a high settlement of $34 million.

9 Paul McCartney and Heather Mills

The couple made headlines in their marriage, particularly for those Beatle fans who fell in love with McCartney and his first wife, Linda, who died in 1998. They again made headlines as one of the most expensive divorces ever at $50 million paid to Mills in 2008. Though the agreement was expensive, and McCartney made the mistake of not insisting on a prenup, it was a far cry from Mills’ original request of $250 million. McCartney also pays $70,000 per year for child support plus tuition fees for their daughter, Beatrice.
