Angelina Jolie Lost Jobs And Millions Amid Brad Pitt Divorce

Angelina Jolie reportedly makes around $20 million per movie. But her hefty salary was ultimately affected by her divorce from Brad Pitt.

While speaking with Entertainment Weekly, Jolie revealed that she loves directing. But following her highly-publicized divorce, her family situation changed and it prevented her from directing movies.

“I needed to just do shorter jobs and be home more, so I kind of went back to doing a few acting jobs. That’s really the truth of it,” she said.

But even though Jolie had to take a step back from directing and starring in movies, her net worth didn’t seem gravely affected.

Last year, Jolie made it to Forbes list of 10 highly-paid actresses. The Maleficent: Mistress of Evil star ranked six in the list with $22.5 million.

Overall, Jolie’s net worth is estimated at $120 million. And her income also comes from her endorsements. From 2019 to 2020, the mom of six earned $35 million from her endorsements.

Some of the actress' most successful movies include Mr. & Mrs. Smith, where she earned $10 million, Maleficent, where she earned $33 million, and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, where she earned $275 million.

Despite the changes in her work and salary, Jolie proved that money is not an issue for her. After all, she has also been spending millions in her ongoing custody battle against Pitt.

Last month, Jolie proved that her fight is nowhere near the end.

The Blast obtained a copy of Jolie’s court documents, where she said that she’s willing to offer proof and authority in support of the domestic violence allegations she’s throwing at Pitt.

Jolie also said that if the court approves, her three youngest children will be willing to testify against their dad.

However, a source for Vanity Fair said that Jolie’s allegations against Pitt are old and rehashed.

“When they initially filed for divorce in the fall of 2016, Jolie made similar allegations (about what happened on their plane ride to the U.S.). [These] were reported to the authorities and thoroughly investigated before concluding no wrongdoing, and therefore, no action was taken. These have been the same attacks repeated for the past four and a half years,” the source said.

Shortly after, a source close to Pitt revealed that the actor feels anxious to get the custody worked out because he just wants to move on.

The Ad Astra star has been requesting joint custody of his minor children, but Jolie wants full custody of their kids.
