David Beckham Picks Up New Sport In $23 Million Miami Apartment

David Beckham is trying something new. The former professional soccer athlete recently posted a video of himself trying his hand at paddle tennis yesterday. While he admitted the new sport gave him a different workout that usual and he knew he’d feel it in the morning, he loved the game.
Beckham was shown on the court wearing an orange T-shirt, shorts and a backwards baseball cap.
According to The Sun, Beckham and his wife, Victoria moved to the Miami area to spend time with their children and look in on his soccer team, Inter Miami CF and football team Salford City.
The family purchased a $24 million ultra-sheek apartment last spring and have been visiting with son, Brooklyn and his fiancé, Nicola Peltz.
The luxurious apartment, designed by the late British-Iraqi architect, Zaha Hadid, features its own helipad (the only residential space in Miami with one), pool and gym.
Hadid was the architect behind the 2012 Olympics Aquatic Centre in Stratford, East London.
According to HELLO!, the Beckhams property was made to look like a seven-star resort with 62 floors but only 100 tenants. Perks include an infinity pool and bar, a treatment spa, hair and beauty salon, acai and juice bar and sunbathing area.
The open floor plan uses wall partitions instead of doors to separate and each room throughout the penthouse features floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Miami on all sides. Bedrooms include extra large beds with futuristic furniture, and low hanging chandeliers.
The living area includes a retro-Miami feel with zebra-print cushions and palm tree lampshades.
Since the holidays, Beckham has been seen in the Miami area, enjoying the sun, family time and cruising around town. Recently, he posted an Instagram video showing he had finally received his favorite retro Knucklehead bike from California.
The Beckhams have been sharing much of their lives during lockdown from their luxury home in the Cotswolds. In addition to paddle tennis, the couple made their first cake; a lemon drizzle, exercised, where Beckham took his fans on a run and their son Romeo was seen running on a treadmill.
Victoria also shared the family went on a bike ride for her 46th birthday and like everyone, they couple were homeschooling their eight-year-old daughter, Harper.
It wasn’t all workouts and learning new things.
The family also posted videos in their home cinema, watching Bohemian Rhapsody, with Harper delivering drinks and snacks. They also designed rainbows for the National Health Service (NHS) and posted appreciation videos for first responders and healthcare workers during the pandemic.
