Jennifer Anne Garner was born in 1972 in Houston, Texas, in the USA but went on to settle in West Virginia when she was three years old. Her father was a chemical engineer at Union Carbide, and her mother, a homemaker. She has two siblings. One could say that it was her father who motivated the actress to pursue Chemistry at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

Garner was a bright student from a young age. Apart from academics, she had a knack for ballet dancing and mastered ballet for nine years after moving to West Virginia. Jennifer worked for small-scale companies to support herself in college and gave ballet lessons to kids.

They sold them for $3 to other college mates, which soon became an excuse for them to sneak into the theatre room at night to use the sewing machine and elastic to make these scrunchies. Another reason for Garner being attracted to the theatre room was her love for acting skills; she is also known to have taken acting classes at college, which prepared her for the future big stage.

After graduating from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, Garner started thinking seriously about her acting career. She moved to New York, where she worked shifts as a waitress to gather enough capital to get herself launched as an actor.

Her career began with minor side roles in television shows like Law & Order, Spin City, and Significant Others. According to Hello! The actor also co-starred in 'Daredevil,' 2003 and 'Elektra' in 2005, where she shared the screen with Ben Affleck again. 2003 was a critical year in Garner's life as she also landed her first significant leading role in a romantic comedy called 13 Going On 30. In 2002 Steven Spielberg had offered her a role in his famous movie called Catch Me If You Can, and that's when things took a mercurial turn for her. The actress is also known to have starred in 'Catch and Release'; additionally, she was the supporting actress in 'Juno' and 'The Kingdom.' Besides being a producer and an actress, Garner is also a businesswoman. She has used the story of growing up on a farm to create 'Once Upon a Farm' - a company co-founded by Garner and John Foraker in 2018.
