Billionaire Richard Branson began today in the usual way, and ended it even more unusually...with a trip to space aboard his very own rocket ship. This incredible feat was accomplished ahead of Jeff Bezos, making Branson the first billionaire to go to space on his own rocket ship. Branson, who is just shy of his 71st birthday, took five people from his Virgin Galactic space-tourism company on a trip to space, which was as fast as it was fascinating. He is now able to say he fulfilled his lifelong dream of going to space, and according to the CBC, he now boasts the experience of roughly 3-4 minutes of weightlessness - a truly out-of-this-world experience that so very few people have experienced to date.
