Elon Musk's Six Most Expensive Things | TheRichest

The billionaire Elon Musk has amassed a massive fortune via his several tech ventures, and with his billion-dollar fortune, he owns some of the most expensive items in human history. Elon Musk was born Elon Reeve Musk FRS in Pretoria, South Africa, and grew up to become one of the most popular tech personalities in the US. He is the founder of world-famous companies like Tesla and SpaceX. The centibillionaire has also founded The Boring Company, besides co-founding Neuralink and OpenAI. Musk is on the list of billionaires who qualify as the richest and most popular elite. Revolutionary projects like the Hyperloop and SolarCity have also contributed to his undying fame and wealth.

Here are some of the most expensive things owned by Elon Musk.

6 The Tesla Diamond And Ruby Ring

One of the most expensive things owned by the Tesla billionaire is a jewelry item. This might come as a surprise to many, but Musk owns a Tesla Diamond and Ruby Ring worth over an extravagant $37,000.

This special ring was designed and created by Musk's chosen designer Ben Baller. This was a gift from Baller to Musk and what makes it even more special is the fact that Musk is the only celebrity who has ever received a gift from Ben. However, it was a thank you note from Baller for having created Tesla, which provided about 50,000 Americans with jobs. The ring comes embezzled with diamonds and rubies to design the word Tesla in white and red.

5 An Array Of Luxury Rides

Elon spends most of his time devising futuristic technologies that can revolutionize transportation. Apart from this, he owns a bunch of luxury rides. In fact, he spends most of his money buying the coolest of cars.

These cars are also some of the most expensive. His garage has stored classy beasts such as the Audi Q7, which comes at a price of about $70,000, the 1967 Jaguar Series 1 that cost him about $104,000. Musk also owns electronic rides that include the Tesla Roadster that boasts an astounding price of about $ 200,000; the Mclaren F1 proceeds at about $1 million and the most hyped McLaren F1 Hypercar worth over $12 million.

Although the McLaren F1 was the coolest car he ever owned, he lost it to a serious car accident when he and his business partner cum friend Peter Thiel were out on a drive in it. Fortunately enough, none of them suffered any serious injuries.

4 Private Yachts And Jets

Besides owning some of the coolest cars ever designed, Elon Musk is also the proud owner of some private yachts. These are reported to be some of the fanciest of all yachts, but their value is kept covert.

He also owns an equally fancy private jet which comes at a mind-blowing cost of about $70,000. It was a custom-made jet that Elon Musk had Gulfstream Aerospace build for him in 2015. Musk received the finished product the following year so he could fly for 7500 miles in an uninterrupted journey.

3 A List Of Luxury Estates

Even a personality like Elon Musk, who does not believe in splurging by the standards of a billionaire, owns some of the classiest and futuristic homes. For example, his Los Angeles mansion is known for its futuristic design and the high price of about $4.5 million. The property is highly extensive with a surface area of approximately 3,000 square feet and comes with four grand bedrooms and three bathrooms. Musk purchased this house in 2014 for a price of about $3.37 million, but after renovating and changing a few things in its design, the price came to an outstanding $4.5 million.

Musk put this property out on the market when he bought the extraordinary Bel Air Mansion, which made him spend another grand $17 million. The private Bel Air suburb in California is well suited to the tastes of the billionaire. The house is about 20,248-square-foot wide with about seven bedrooms, nine bathrooms, a giant screening room, a pool, and a tennis court upgraded from Musk's last property. He was, however, reported to have gone on a selling spree in 2020 and was left only with a $50,000 home.

2 Rockets And Launch Vehicles

The fact that the SpaceX owner also owns the best rocket launching vehicles in the world should not come as a surprise because these projects are manually headed over and handled by Musk. He owns the Falcon 9, which is a two-stage orbit lift vehicle for launching rockets into space. It is also one of the most revolutionary designs made by his company SpaceX and costs a jaw-dropping $62 million.

SpaceX also designed the Falcon Heavy, which was an improvement upon the Falcon 9 as it was a larger and heavy rocket-launching machine compared to its predecessor. It came at more than double the price of Falcon 9 - about $150 million. Musk is adamant about launching humans to space, and these are but part of his preparations.

1 Highly-Valued Companies

Talking about Elon Musk's possessions, it is impossible to miss all the companies he owns and all the otherworldly projects he has been a part of. For example, Musk is the proud owner of a domain name. The 'x.com' domain name is officially owned by Musk and has a cost of about $1 million.

SpaceX is another of his great possessions that have reached great heights in recent years. It is worth about $74 billion. SolarCity is one of the most notable of Musk's projects as it is a manufacturer of solar panels and is based in San Mateo, California. The SolarCity company is a subsidiary of Musk's famous Tesla and is worth about $3.5 billion.

The tech billionaire is worth over $162.5 billion presently, and it is quite evident that he can easily afford the lavish lifestyle that most people dream of. What makes Musk stand out are his investment decisions when about making something revolutionary that nobody possibly believes in. This is also the secret behind his unbelievable success.
