Inside Pastor Jesse Duplantis' Multi-Million-Dollar Homes
Jesse Duplantis became an evangelist minister in 1978, using humor and music to sway people with his words. He founded the Jesse Duplantis Ministries (JDM), which is headquartered in America and has branches in Australia and the UK. He also opened the Covenant Compassion Center at his JDM Headquarters to provide shelter to hundreds of people whose homes were destroyed during Hurricane Katrina. For his many years of service to God and the community, Duplantis was awarded an honorary Doctorate of Divinity by Oral Roberts University in 1999. His travel and works have amassed him a $40 million net worth that pays for his luxurious home and lifestyle.
From traveling in a private jet to owning the largest home in the Parish, Jesse Duplantis lives his life to the fullest. A home built for him and the people, let’s take a glimpse at Jesse Duplantis’ multi-million-dollar home.
Before becoming a preacher, Jesse Duplantis worked as a soda clerk in South Louisiana. Little did he know that years later, he would build a home in the same area. Located on the edge of River Road and Ormond Boulevard in Destrehan, the home is the single largest Parish and belongs to the Jesse Duplantis Ministries, the evangelical Christian group, as stated by Herald Guide. The largest property on East Bank, the Ministry filed the permit to build the house in December 2007. G & R Custom Homes of Metairie began construction in October 2008, which lasted for a year.
The two-storey home is built on 34,986 sq. ft. of space. The home is primarily constructed using wood, drywall, and metal concrete beams. The home is designed in plantation style, giving it a farmhouse look. The home has open spaces around as the home also serves as a church rectory. This wasn’t the first largest property built by Duplantis in Ormond. He also built the Covenant Church, which is the most extensive commercial property in the area.

The Trinity Foundation, founded in Dallas, is a watchdog organization that follows televangelists and conducts research. The organization has been following Duplantis’ lifestyle for more than a decade to keep an eye on him. The organization discovered that the spacious home is built under the Ministries name, which exempts Duplantis from paying any taxes for his home. According to Celebrity Dig, the construction cost him $3 million. With the construction under the company’s name, the preacher saves $30,000 in annual taxes.
The biggest space in the home is the living area that spans 22,039 sq. ft. of the area and has an additional 12,947 sq. ft. for garages and outdoor patios. Along with two double-door garages, the home has an astonishing 25 rooms for guests to use. The first floor, which is the main floor, has a music parlor for practice. It also has a kitchen, breakfast room, and dining room. Two bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms are located on the first floor.
The second floor covers the accommodation and has four bedrooms and three full bathrooms. The second floor also has a theatre room, as noted by Arthur Graph. The home was built as a part of the church through donations, and Duplantis uses his spacious home to offer shelter to the people who need it.
Duplantis had plans to build a home for people of the Parish to find comfort and hope in his shelter. The preacher stood true to his promise when natural calamities hit the state of Louisiana. In September 2021, Hurricane Ida came in full force with a storm that made landfall in the southeast part of the state. As mentioned by NBC News, Duplantis and his wife donated more than $100,000 worth of generators to the people and helped rebuild the community damaged by the disaster. He opened his home for people seeking a place to stay when the disaster hit the town.
Despite Duplantis having a lavish lifestyle, his church and himself have made continuous efforts to help the community in times of need and offer support to people who need it. The televangelist is also known to travel in style to preach worldwide with his three private jets. Being one of the most-watched preachers in the world, Duplantis certainly gets some criticism. However, he doesn’t let mockery take him down and believes in the true power of God.
Jesse Duplantis isn’t the only preacher with an extravagant lifestyle; however, he is one of the few who uses their status to help people. His $3 million home is an example of how he uses the power of his church, Ministry, and donors to give back to the community. To catch a glimpse of his dynamic personality, people tune in to his YouTube and Facebook channels, where he preaches the messages from Jesus.
