Tom Cruise starred in the 1988 classic Rain Man alongside Dustin Hoffman and filmed some shots of the movie driving the 1949 Buick Roadmaster. The actor loved the car and used it to cruise through many cross-country road trips. The car driven by Cruise and Hoffman was sold at an auction for $170,500.

11 Chevrolet Corvette C1 (1958)

A beloved car in Cruise’s garage, Chevrolet struggled with sales when it decided to introduce the Corvette, an American sports classic. The production for Corvettes began in 1953, and for the 1958 model, the C1 came with a dual headlight and updated interior, as noted by Car and Driver. The original price of the C1 was $3,591.

10 Chevrolet Chevelle SS (1970)

Cruise gave his Chevelle Super Sport a starring role in the 2012 movie Jack Reacher. The SS gives an output of 350 HP with a power bulge under the hood. The Chevelle gained popularity in the Nascar circuit during the 1970s as a powerful muscle car. While the car may have had a reasonable price during the 70s today, the car is worth $72,900.

9 Dodge Colt (1976)

The first car in Cruise’s collection was a $925 1976 Dodge Colt that he purchased in high school. Growing up in a modest and abusive home, the actor wanted to escape to New York to pursue his dream of becoming an actor. The 1.6-liter compact engine helped him reach the city of New York, where he slowly gained movie roles that made him a star.

8 Porsche 928 (1979)

Another car that Cruise fell in love with on the movie set, he purchased the 1979 Porsche 928 after filming his 1983 breakthrough movie Risky Business. A luxurious car, the 928 is the only car by Porsche to have a front-mounted V8 engine. According to GQ, the movie car was sold for upwards of $40,000 at an auction, and Cruise purchased a new one for himself.
