Erika Girardi Asked To Return The $750,000 Earrings She Received From Her Estranged Husband Tom Girardi

Amidst the ongoing divorce proceedings, Erika Girardi is being dragged to Tom Girardi's pending case as she was asked to turn over a set of diamond earrings worth $750,000 as the bankruptcy trustee continues to investigate her former husband. The trustee claims that Tom Girardi had purchased the said earrings in 2007 using the money from a client's trust account with his firm, Girardi Keese.

The said jewelry purchase was written off as an expense against the client's account. According to the newly acquired court documents obtained by People, which were filed on Tuesday, January 25, 2022, Tom reportedly used his client's funds to buy the jewelry he gifted Erika. The trustee is now requesting the return of the expensive earrings and be sold to pay off Tom's creditors.

The lawyer of the The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star stated that Erika she did not know about the said claims and she was gifted innocently with stunning $750,000 earrings by her former husband Tom. Erika filed for divorce from Tom last November 2020 after about 20 years of being together. The couple’s split was a surprise for everyone but the events which followed their separation made everyone believe that Erika Jayne’s life is far from being perfect which was what she portrayed on TV. However, after more than a year of being separated from her husband, she was still being grilled about her ex are alleged suspicious activities involving his firm.

The lawyer of Erika, Evan C. Borges, released a statement to People, claiming that they are indeed disturbed by the amount of people jumping into conclusions against his client, Erika. The lawyer claims that she is innocent and others are just trying to blame her for their own actions. He added that if the law ever matters, the motion of the trustee is definitely out of bounds. The claims of the trustee are based on an incomplete hearsay which was used as evidence and filed with the motion. Borges believes that the trustee has baseless claims on the gift which Erika received 15 years ago from her former husband which was extraordinarily wealthy husband during that time.

It was reported that the reality star is now frustrated that she is yet again being falsely accused of something that she did not do. She has been wearing the said jewelry on the show so it is not like no one knew about its existence. The legal team of Erika has already filed a response to the claims of the trustee last Wednesday, January 26, 2022.
