Lewis Hamilton Is All-Set For Hollywood After 'Plans For F1 Movie' Starring Brad Pitt Emerge

The tech titans try to seal the new year's first major motion picture deal with multiple A-listers engaged. Although discussions are still ongoing, the plot revolves around a racing driver, portrayed by Brad. He emerges out of retirement to train a young driver that joins their partner after the last battle for triumph. Top Gun will direct the film: Maverick director Joseph Kosinski, with the story written by Ehren Kruger. Jerry Bruckheimer, who co-produced Tom Cruise's 1990 NASCAR epic 'Days of Thunder,' is believed to be producing with Plan B. Hamilton is also rumored to be engaged in the film. However, it's believed that Formula One isn't formally connected yet, so there's no word about what the seven-time reigning champions' participation could be.

Brad Pitt will be starring as a racer for the F1 movie plot. The story's plot will revolve around a racer who shuns his retirement plans and joins a team to battle. The movie is said to be produced by Jerry Bruckheimer.

Studios such as Paramount, MGM, Sony, and Universal are rumored to have submitted bids. In contrast, subscription platforms such as Netflix and Amazon are thought to have achieved the same thing already. This isn't the first occasion Hamilton has dabbled with Hollywood; the 36-year-old appeared in Cars 2 in 2011, Cars 3 in 2017, and Zoolander 2 in 2017. Hamilton has also appeared in online gaming, most notably in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare as Officer Carl Hamilton and Cars 2, the computer game.

The resurgence of interest in Formula One follows the worldwide success of Netflix's Drive to Survive, which pushed the motorsport back into the public eye and attracted massive viewers across the globe. Fast automobiles and the rush of adrenaline that accompanies them have long piqued the interest of the Hollywood industry, providing fans with an exhilarating, action-packed spectacle. Ford vs. Ferrari gained international acclaim and two Academy Awards, demonstrating the popularity of motorsport films, according to Express. As we all know, in 2014, he dominated the Formula One season, claiming a career-high 11 races and capturing his second drivers' title.

He was as dominating in 2015, as he won his third drivers' title exactly a month well before the season finished. Compared with that of teammate Nico Rosberg, Hamilton's achievement allowed Mercedes-Benz to retain the F1 constructor's title in both years. According to Britannica, Rosberg and Mercedes-Benz won their respective championships in 2016, with Hamilton coming second to his teammate in the drivers' standings.

Fans of Hamilton will be aware that the star is a major admirer of Top Gun, but you may be surprised to learn that the seven-time F1 world champion was handed an acting performance in the film's successor in 2019.
