Drake Bets Over $1 Million On Rams & Odell Beckham Jr. In Super Bowl

Many people place bets on the Super Bowl, and celebrities are no exception. It appears  Drake is hoping to make a sizeable profit after putting down over a million dollars on the Los Angeles Rams, who will compete against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday night for the Lombardi Trophy.

According to TMZ, the rapper is so confident that the Rams will come out victorious, he placed a bet of $1.25 million in bitcoin – which would give him over $2.9 million in return should his prediction come true.

Sharing with his 102 million Instagram followers, Drake made a post featuring screenshots from his bet. The first image shows that he put down $600,000 that the Rams would win, for an estimated payout of $906,000.

The last two screenshots showed that he placed several bets on his friend, L.A. Rams wide received Odell Beckham Jr. Drake bet $500,000 that the football star will have over 62.5 receiving yard, which would give him a payout of approximately $905,000. He also bet $500,000 that Beckham will score a touchdown, which would give the rapper an estimated $1.075 million in return.

"All bets are in on the family,” Drake captioned the post.

CBS Sports explains that Drake and Beckham have been friends for years, which may explain the artist’s confidence the football star’s skills during this year’s Superbowl.

Not only has Beckham appeared in several of the rapper’s music videos, but the pair have also lived together. In a 2016 interview with Ronda Rousey, Beckham said he was “staying” at Drake’s home until the musician “finishes [his] album” View from the 6.

Beckham said that Drake had “too much going on,” but having a temporary house guest was helping him “chill out.”

Beckham signed a one-year contract with the Rams in 2021, but prior to that played for the New York Giants and the Cleveland Brown. Fondly known as OBJ by his fans, the athlete made history in 2016 when he became the fastest player in NFL history to achieve 4,000 career receiving yards and 200 career receptions.

He’s reportedly making 1.2 million on his current contract with the Rams. But with that coming to an end in March, reports have said he’s willing to take a smaller salary in order to stay with the Rams beyond this year’s Super Bowl.

The Super Bowl isn’t the only exciting thing happening to Beckham this week, as the athlete is said to be “on stanby” as he gears up for the birth of his first child. Beckham’s girlfriend, Lauren Wood, is due to give birth any day.
