Boxing Billionaire Floyd Mayweather Building Tenth Skyscraper

Floyd Mayweather says he is building another skyscraper, bringing the total up to ten, while boasting about earning $50,000 a month. The boxing legend claims to have earned over $1 billion from his prizefighting career, and now he says he wants to make his second billion outside of the ring. Mayweather announced his big plans amid a lawsuit over his fight with Logan Paul, a fight that Paul says the athlete hasn’t paid him for.

Mayweather revealed his ambitious plan while speaking to Grant Cardone, telling the businessman that after looking at the careers of his athletic peers —he decided to take a different path.

"I looked at certain athletes' careers and said, 'I don't want to end up like that. So, what I did was put up five million dollars [for investments], getting 50,000 a month, every month on the 18th.”

“You like the cash flow?” Cardone asked, prompting Mayweather to respond: "I’ve liked the cash flow for years. I decided to not give them seven figures or eight-figures. I gave them nine figures.”

Last year, Mayweather revealed he is an investor with a real estate firm that owns nine skyscrapers, including One Vanderbilt. The 93-story skyscraper stands as one of the tallest in Manhattan—costing more than $3 billion to complete.

"What I own right now is nine skyscrapers, and I'm building my tenth skyscraper right now," the undefeated champion continued.

Leonard Ellerbe—a friend of Mayweather—confirmed in 2020 that the boxer was eager to match the $1 billion fortune he made boxing with his business ventures. The undefeated champ has also invested in a strip club, fashion line, a music label, and a respectable real estate portfolio that also includes his $25 million Beverly Hills mansion.

He also has a $40 million car collection and a Jacob & Co. designed watch worth $18 million called "The Billionaire."

Despite all of his riches, the champ is still accused of not doling out Logan Paul his share of cash from their blockbuster 2021 exhibition match.

Paul claimed that the match was the highlight of his career, but admitted it was a mistake to allow Mayweather’s brand, The Money Team, to control the cash involved in the fight. Mayweather earned an estimated $100 million from the match, while Paul is still waiting on the $14 million he bagged.
