These 10 A-Listers Have An Insane Real Estate Portfolio

Not all celebrities maintain their ridiculous fortunes from just one source. In many cases, the most financially successful celebs have multiple streams of income set up that allow investing in even more lucrative ventures. Take for example the Deadpool action star, Ryan Reynolds. He owns multiple companies, such as Mint Mobile, his own brand of gin called Aviation American Gin, as well as an advertising agency called Maximum Effort, which all help to bolster his $150 million net worth. Similarly, real estate is also a major source of income for many top actors such as Jack Nicholson, whose properties are estimated at over $100 million! Here are 10 A-list actors with a crazy property portfolio.

10 Leonardo DiCaprio

Everyone with access to television would have watched the legendary movie, Titanic, and by default would know of Leonardo DiCaprio. He may be known for his exceptional acting ability displayed in a long list of movies throughout his career. As of 2022, the Inception star is worth $260 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Out of the figure, at least $100 million is made up of properties. They comprise a mansion he purchased in the late 1990s in the Silver Lake suburb of Los Angeles for $769,500. He would go on to sell it for $1.7 million in 2018. In 2021, he sold the Malibu oceanfront he purchased for $1.6 million in 1998 for $10.3 million. Then in 2014, he put $5.2 million down on a mid-century home once owned by singer and actress, Dinah Shore, which he rents for $3,750 per night. Business is definitely looking good for the decorated actor in the housing market!

9 Oprah Winfrey

Up next is the ultra-successful television network founder, actress, and businesswoman, Orpah Winfrey. And yes! Much of her success can be credited to her TV program, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and investments into other television broadcasting networks, such as ABC and Disney. Not only did she become America's first black female billionaire, but she is also the fourth wealthiest celebrity in the world at $3.5 billion, right behind Kanye West. The media mogul boasts an impressive list of properties, beginning with her main residence in Montecito, California, of 70 acres and worth $100 million. Then in 2019, she would purchase the home next door belonging to Jeff Bridges for $6.85 million. Earlier in 1985, she owned a Chicago mansion which she sold in 2015 for $4.625 million. Her portfolio also includes a 43-acre estate in Washington which she sold for $14 million in July 2021, over 160 acres of property in Maui for $60 million, and $14 million for a home in Telluride, Colorado. Her real estate value now sits somewhere at $200 million.

8 Arnold Schwarzenegger

Early on in his career, while everyone was focused on his masterfully sculpted physique, Arnold Schwarzenegger was focused on real estate investments. However, his first property purchase wasn't your typical mansion, but a California apartment building which he sold for $360,000 against buying price of $214,000. He started with smaller unit buildings, flipped it for a profit, and poured the earnings into a larger unit building straight away to avoid taxes. Therefore, before his mainstream success as a Hollywood actor, he was already a millionaire from his real estate investments. The early investments paid off, as the "Terminator" star still owns much of the commercial properties on Main Street in Santa Monica, California, putting his real estate value at over $100 million and his net worth at $400 million.

A few of these properties include a $6 million home in Hollywood Hills she sold three years later to Will Ferrell for $9 million; a 2011 Malibu home purchase from Brad Pitt for $11 million that was sold for $12 million the following year, and a $45 million mansion from Adam Levine in 2019, sold for $47 million in 2021.
