Justin Bieber Gives Fans $3 Million Worth Of Free Therapy
Justin Bieber is offering millions of his loyal fans a month of free therapy, and he says he’ll foot the bill for the whole shebang. The Love Yourself singer struggled with his mental health in the past. Now, he's making sure any struggling Beliebers have access to care. All in all, the Biebs is handing out $3 million worth of therapy—a gift that also extends to his touring crew.
The singer announced he was partnering with the only therapy platform BetterHelp. As part of the deal, fans can sign up for one month of online therapy, all for free. He also said if fans don’t need it, they can pass it on to a friend or family member who does.
Bieber is pulling out all the stops. In addition to his fans, he’s also offering up 18-months of free therapy to the massive 250+ crew members that help make his tours a reality.
“The one thing I've learned over the years is that we all go through our ups and downs, and we all need help sometimes," he said in an announcement.
The hitmaker is in the North American leg of his Justice World Tour, and he’s been letting concertgoers know that “it’s okay to not be okay sometimes” and that even the rich and famous struggle sometimes.
"What this tour is about is about unity, it's about collectively coming together and saying I love you no matter what you look like, no matter where you come from ... and I just think there's so much power in that," Bieber told a crowd in Los Angeles last month.
It sounds like the Biebs is keeping true to his word. While it’s usually the fans expressing their love, he’s taking a moment to let them know they’re loved too.
The kind gesture, while expensive, likely won’t hurt Bieber's pocket too much. He has amassed one of the most impressive fortunes in music and is estimated to be worth north of $285 million. The $3 million he spent offering fans free therapy is still less than he spends on luxury cars.
