Amber Heard Reportedly Inks Deal For “Tell-All Revenge Book”

Amber Heard is reportedly “broke” and is not “in a position to turn down money” following the conclusion of her high-profile courtroom battle against Johnny Depp — which some are saying marked the conclusion of her career as well. After a jury ordered the actress to pay $10 million in damages to her ex-husband — she allegedly has a major book deal lined up to help come up with the cash.

Heard is on the hook for $8.35 million after a jury found that she defamed Depp in her December 2018 op-ed for The Washington Post. The jury awarded the 59-year-old $15 million in damages, an amount Judge Penney Azcarate later reduced to $10.35 million. However, the jury also found that one of the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s lawyers defamed Heard and awarded her $2 million in compensatory damages.

Heard’s attorney has made it clear that the Aquaman actress “absolutely” doesn’t have the cash to pay the millions she now owes her ex-husband.

However — according to a report by OK! Magazine — the actress may have found a lucrative new endeavor that could help her pay off her debts, and it’s allegedly not acting as the 36-year-old believes her career in Hollywood is “over.”

According to the mag, the actress has a major book deal lined up. "Amber considers her career in Hollywood over. She’s already in talks and is excited about [the deal]. At this point, she has nothing to lose and wants to tell all," the source claims.

The insider noted that the actress is “broke” and in no position to "turn down money,” and penning a blockbuster tell-all book would help ease her financial burden. However, one trial lawyer is warning the actress to watch what she says, lest she ends up “right back in court.”

"To the extent that Heard wants to discuss this case and her relationship with Depp in a tell-all statement or book, she needs to be extremely careful as to what she says about him,” Dror Bikel, a bestselling legal author told the outlet. “Depp and his attorneys will be reading and listening to everything that Heard states. If she crosses the line, which is likely, there is no question that she will be hit with another defamation suit and end up right back in court."
