J.Lo & Ben Affleck Reportedly Didn’t Sign A Prenup Before Wedding
With hundreds of millions to their names, there’s been a lot of speculation over how Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck protect their assets before tying the knot earlier this month. However, it appears the newlyweds decided against signing a prenup.
Speaking to OK! Magazine, a source explained that Ben has a “grounding” effect on Jen. She has full trust and confidence in him, leading both to agree a prenuptial agreement wasn’t necessary.
"He doesn't have that same need to show off or do things on such a big scale anymore and that's helped to balance Jennifer out in that regard," they said.
The insider added, "She gets a lot more pleasure out of the simple, smaller things than she used to.”
The pair may have only gotten engaged last year, but they have a longer history. They dated for several years in the early 2000s and became engaged in 2002. However, the couple called their wedding off the next year only days before it was scheduled. They eventually called it quits in 2004.
However, after rekindling their romance last year, J.Lo and Ben seem stronger than ever. And they wasted no time getting hitched in Vegas.
"Jennifer loves Ben for exactly who he is," the insider continued. "Ben's grown up an awful lot in the 18 years since they first split.”
Earlier this month, information came out about the couple’s original prenup for their 2003 wedding that never happened. At the time, reports said the couple had a stipulation in the prenup they were to be intimate no less than four times per week.
They also had a “no cheating clause,” which J.Lo reportedly implemented after Ben spent a night with strippers. "The prenuptial agreement is to protect both their assets and says that if they do split, they keep their own money, except if Ben cheats,” a source told Daily Mail.
Ben is reportedly worth around $150 million, while J.Lo has a net worth of $400 million.
It was assumed the prenup for their recent wedding would have similar sexual stipulations. Other reports also suggested Ben’s ex-wife Jennifer Garner was pushing them to get a prenup to protect her ex’s assets for the sake of their three children.
But with reports saying the pair didn’t sign one at all, it may all be speculation.
