The corporation, which was a significant force in the personal computer revolution of the 1990s, eventually became a corporate juggernaut, and Gates gained recognition as a commercial tycoon and tech titan. According to Forbes, Gates' net worth as of June 2020 was predicted to be around $110 billion.

Gates left the Microsoft board in March 2020, but he still owns about 1.3 percent of the company's stock. The Giving Pledge, a campaign encouraging other billionaires to contribute the majority of their money to charity, was created in 2010 by Bill and Melinda Gates and billionaire investor Warren Buffett. 10 United Negro College Fund, Inc
