Scooter Braun Must Pay $20 Million In Divorce, But Can Keep Private Jet
Scooter Braun’s divorce has been finalized. But even though there was a prenup in place before the marriage, the talent manager is still handing over a small fortune to his ex-wife.
According to TMZ, Scooter must give Yael Cohen $20 million in alimony. However, the assets that Scooter – who’s worth approximately $65 million – is walking away from in the divorce pale in comparison.
Scooter will maintain ownership of the $65 million Brentwood home that he purchased after the divorce had been filed. For her part, Yael will remain in their $30 million home, also in Brentwood.
Scooter is also keeping his pirvate jet, a Gulfstream IV, valued at over $40 million, and several cars, including a Porsche and a Tesla. He’ll retain over 100 pieces of work by artists like Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, which can easily cost millions.
Additionally, he didn’t have to divide a number of investments and bank accounts with his now-ex-wife.
Conversely, Yael is walking away with a several art pieces, a Land Rover Defender. the less expensive Brentwood home, and a variety of assets and bank accounts.
The former couple have also decided on a custody arrangement for their three kids – Jagger Joseph, 6, Levi Magnus, 5, and Hart Violet, 3. Scooter and Yael agreed to joint physical and legal custody.
However, court documents acknowledged that due to the travel demands of Scooter’s job, he may not be able to have the kids 50% of the time.
Scooter initially filed for divorce in July 2021, seven years after they tied the knot in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada, in 2014.
"They're both heartbroken. They realized they were not going to be able to fix things and they decided to move ahead with the divorce," a source told PEOPLE at the time.
They added, "They're committed to keeping things amicable for the kids. They don't want to have a messy divorce."
Yael subsequently made her own filing in December of the same year, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. At the time, she requested spousal support and that he pay for her attorney’s fees.
