Former NBA Player Eric Bledsoe Reportedly Arrested And Has Been Charged With Domestic Violence

American professional basketball player who last played for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association Eric Bledsoe was arrested, accused of domestic violence. According to TMZ, police in the Lost Hills area of California responded to a call about a domestic incident on Wednesday, in which the victim reported being slapped by her boyfriend. After officers arrived at the scene and conducted investigations, Bledsoe was taken to the police station, where he was taken into custody and later released after posting bail.

Bledsoe’s girlfriend posted a photo to Instagram, since deleted, that showed a large red mark over the side of her face.

“NO RELATIONSHIP LIKE THIS IS EVER WORTH STAYING IN … ERIC BLEDSOE really is a monster,” the caption read in part.

The police responded to a call from Bledsoe’s girlfriend Wednesday night at their residence in Lost Hills, California, some 40 miles northwest of Bakersfield. They reportedly arrested Bledsoe for misdemeanor domestic violence. He was booked and bonded out.

The playmaker's arrest may have upended his planning, as the incident came hours after he signed a contract with the Shanghai Sharks, a Chinese team that competes in the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) championship.

Bledsoe was waived by the Portland Trail Blazers in July of this year and had been without a team ever since, per Marca.

The shooting guard was selected 18th overall in the 2010 Draft and played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, New Orleans Pelicans and Portland Trail Blazers throughout his career, and was also part of the best defensive quintets of the season in 18-19 and 19-20.
