Skechers Kicks Kanye Out After Showing Up To Headquarters Uninvited

Kanye West appears to be looking for a new company to host his Yeezy brand, but Skechers made it clear they’re not interested. After showing up at the brand’s headquarters unannounced, Ye was reportedly escorted out by security.

Skechers, which is owned by a Jewish company, released a statement on their website confirming the incident. “Considering Ye was engaged in unauthorized filming, two Skechers executives escorted him and his party from the building after a brief conversation,” the company said.

“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” they continued. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism or any other form of hate speech. The Company would like to again stress that West showed up unannounced and uninvited to Skechers corporate offices.”

Kanye has lost numerous collaborations in the wake of his recent controversial behavior, which has included antisemitic and anti-Black comments.

Most notably, Adidas finally pulled the plug on their long-time partnership, even though Yeezy products were pulling in a reported $2 billion for Adidas annually.

The athleticwear company announced it was reviewing the partnership in early October, but didn’t officially cancel it until later in the month. Adidas has received backlash for not ending its relationship with Ye sooner, and the company’s value has taken a drop since then.

Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech,” Adidas said in a statement. “Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”

Shortly after Adidas’ announcement, Forbes revealed that Kanye has lost his billionaire status, as the Yeezy collaboration accounted for $1.5 billion of his net worth.

Ye’s net worth continues to dwindle, as other brands have cut ties with him. On the same day as Adidas ended their collaboration, Footlocker announced it would no longer carry Yeezy products in their stores.

Similarly, Gap has officially closed their YeezyGap.com website, after announcing their partnership with Ye was over last month.

Even though he’s looking for a new partner for Yeezy, it’s likely not going to come easy for Kanye, if at all. Other fashion brands have confirmed they have no future plans to work with him, including Balenciaga.

Reports say that Vogue has also cut Ye out of their inner circle after he attacked on their editors online and made antisemitic comments.
