Alexandra Daddario’s Elegant Hancock Park Mansion Hit The Market For $7.6 Million
American actress Alexandra Daddario, She had her breakthrough portraying Annabeth Chase in the Percy Jackson film series. Now that she’s doled out $7.6 million for a midcentury-modern fixer crafted by noted modernist architect Allen Siple, Alexandra Daddario’s stylishly decorated house in the historic Hancock Park community of Los Angeles has unsurprisingly popped up for sale.
Records show the 36-year-old actress — probably best known for her breakout role as Annabeth Chase in the “Percy Jackson” film series, as well as an Emmy-nominated turn in the first season of the HBO series “The White Lotus” — and her film producer husband Andrew Form are asking a smidge under $7.6 million for the French-Mediterranean property, or around $300,000 more than they paid “Shameless” creator John Wells for the place just a little over a year ago.
Originally built in the late 1920s and designed by late architect Ralph C. Flewelling, the home was given an extensive remodel and expansion around 2004 by its previous owners, architect William Hefner and his wife, the late Japanese interior designer Kazuko Hoshino, which included the addition of a detached two-story guesthouse. During their tenure, Daddario and Form also spruced up the premises in collaboration with the interior design firm Nickey Kehoe.
Hidden away behind gates and high hedges, on a flat quarter-acre-plus parcel resting amid one of the neighborhood’s most celeb-studded streets, the stucco and terracotta-roof structure is fronted by a wide walkway that leads past Italian cypress and olive trees, and a courtyard bolstered by a fountain and seating area. Inside, five bedrooms and six baths are filtered throughout almost 5,000 square feet of two-level living space boasting high-end limestone, marble and tile finishes, hardwood floors, arched doorways and custom built-ins.
Formal yet casual interiors are highlighted by a grand foyer displaying a wrought-iron staircase topped by a skylight, along with a formal living room spotlighted by a wood-burning fireplace and French doors spilling out to a garden-encased terrace. Bathed in an orangish hue, the formal dining room connects to a fireside kitchen outfitted with eggshell-blue oak cabinetry, Calacatta gold marble countertops, an eat-in island, stainless appliances and a breakfast nook opening to an al fresco dining area, according to Dirt.
Upstairs, three ensuite bedrooms include a spacious master retreat, which comes complete with a fireplace, two balconies, a walk-in closet and spa-like bath. Elsewhere is a library/office and 600-bottle wine cellar; and outdoors, the manicured grounds host a lengthy lap pool nestled among numerous spots ideal for lounging and entertaining. On top of the aforementioned two-bedroom, two-bath guesthouse with its own fireplace-equipped living room and private terrace, there’s also a detached two-car garage.
The listing is held by David Offer and Ed Solorzano of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California.
