Born in Florida, Peyton List’s parents had enrolled their children as performers from a young age. Her twin brother Spencer and younger brother Phoenix also began acting around the same time as the actress. At just four years of age, List made her first uncredited appearance in As the World Turns and the second in a box-office hit Spider-Man 2 in 2004. Along with making an appearance on The Late Show With David Letterman, List also guest-starred in an episode of the popular soap opera All My Children. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she made her first big screen appearance in 2008 in the box office hit romantic comedy 27 Dresses starring Katherine Heigl. Peyton List played the younger version of the character in the film.

A year later, Peyton List earned the title of a model when she graced the cover of the American Girl’s Issue in 2009 titled Back To School. A year later, she was cast in a supporting role in the hit drama film Remember Me, which starred Robert Pattinson. List portrayed the role of a bully who troubled his character’s sister. Peyton had already appeared in 400 various advertisements at the time, and she also modeled for Justice Magazine in 2011 for her small but impactful portfolio in Hollywood.

 

Remember Me was just the beginning of Peyton List’s appearance in feature films and breakthroughs as more roles and opportunities were waiting for the young actress. Her working partnership with Disney began in 2010 when she played the lead’s younger version in The Sorcerer's Apprentice and later starred in the Wimpy Kid sequel Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules as a supporting actress. The film's success led to a third installment, and List won the Young Artist Award along with the rest of the cast. In 2011, List earned one of her first most recognized roles in Disney Channel’s Jessie as Emma Ross, as noted by The Sun. She played the oldest of the four siblings in the show and appeared in the leading role until it ended in 2015.

The same year, Disney made a spin-off of Jessie titled Bunk'd, wherein List reprised her role for the first three seasons and returned as a guest star in 2021. The actress also got to experiment behind the scenes as she directed one of the episodes titled Game Of Totems. Her other Disney projects include the show Pass The Plate and The Swap. Additionally, List lent her voice to the English version of the German animated film The Seventh Dwarf, which was a moderate success in sales.

 

After starring in two YouTube Original films, The Thinning and its sequel, she co-starred with Asa Butterfield in Then Came You. Her Hulu series Light as a Feather aired one season of the show before she made her music debut with the single Liar, Liar. List has also lent her voice to Barbara Gordon in the popular animated series Batman: Hush. 2019 was a big year for List as she was cast as a recurring actress in the YouTube series Cobra Kai in the second season as Tory, as stated by Collider. Her performance became a stand-out in the show, and List was made a regular cast member in the fourth season.

Peyton List continued her acting career while working on the show. She appeared in Valley Girl, Paper Soldiers, Swimming For Gold, Hubie Halloween, and guest-starred on the show Group Chat. As mentioned by Entertainment Tonight, List also bagged the role in a supernatural teen two-part special, B-Loved, alongside Michael Cimino. The series has yet to set a release date as only the first-look photos have been released to the media.

Peyton List went from performing minor roles and modeling to becoming one of the most popular Disney stars of recent times. She has starred in multiple projects for the production team, which led her to a starring role in Cobra Kai that brought her mainstream success. Peyton List will be next seen in the Paramount+ series School Spirits, set for a 2023 release.
