Sandra Bullock Sold Her 91-Acre Avocado Farm For $5.6 Million
Sandra Bullock is saying goodbye to a very unique property – her 90-acre California avocado farm. According to reports, the actress sold the expansive estate for $5.6 million.
The Miss Congeniality star actually accepted a slightly lower price than she was hoping for. She put the estate on the market in September for $6 million but went into contracts a mere three weeks later. The deal was officialised in early November, though it only made headlines now.
The main home has over 5,900 square feet of living space, with 4 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. The home comes with sprawling views of the mountains. It includes nine fireplaces, a gourmet kitchen, and various French doors.
There’s also a smaller house on the property, with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
The property features plenty of outdoor amenities, including a saltwater pool with spa, motocross off-roading track, walk-in chicken coop, green houses, and equestrian facilities One of the estate’s most impressive features is its 1,200 avocado trees.
There’s also plenty of undeveloped land, offering space for further structures, including homes. It also comes with a high-end security system to ensure the utmost privacy.
“[The estate] offer[s] amazing views, options to expand the existing groves, plant a vineyard, coffee, other crops, add green houses or create your own equestrian haven or motor cross off-roading tract,” the listing describes.
It adds that the San Diego estate also comes with a “private hilltop sanctuary,” making it “the perfect place to harmonize and enjoy all that nature has to offer.”
Sandra owned the property for little over a decade after buying it in 2007 for $2.7 million.
It’s unclear why Sandra is selling the stunning farm, but she owns multiple commercial and residential properties in different states.
According to Dirt, the Blind Side star has a $2.7 million home in Beverly Hills as well as two oceanfront properties in the same Malibu neighbourhood. She also has a $20 million mansion in Beverly Hills’ Benedict Canyon area.
Additionally, Sandra owns properties in New York, New Orleans, Austin, Texas, and Jackson Hole Wyoming.
There’s no word on where Sandra is moving next, or if she’s even looking to pick up another property, given her already extensive real estate portfolio. What is clear is that she has plenty of beautiful properties at her disposal, though none likely have as many avocado trees as the farm she just said goodbye to.
