Kanye West’s Ex-Bodyguard Will Expose Him In New Documentary

The workplace allegations against Kanye West are continuing to mount. The rapper’s former body guard is currently working on a documentary about his whirlwind experience under Kanye’s employment.

According to YourTango, the forthcoming documentary will highlight Steve Staniulis’ experience. He worked for the rapper for two weeks in 2016, and accompanied him to big events, including a Yeezy fashion show and a listen party for Ye’s album The Life of Pablo.

The body guard previously opened up to Page Six in February 2022 about having Kanye as a boss, which he summarized as “craziness.”

He made a series of allegations against Kanye, including saying Ye wanted his staff to “blow through red lights” to get to one of his fashion shows at MSG while stuck in traffic.

He decided to run out of the car and run to MSG!” Steve said. “I was like, ‘I’ll run after him!’ I’m chasing him, running through traffic.”

“People will not look at Kanye in a negative light, but people will be entertained. … Everybody knows now the type of person his personality is; I was just the first one who knew back in 2016,” he continued.

The production for the documentary began last year, but it’s unclear when it will be released. It will also feature testimony from other security guards who worked for the rapper.

Kanye previously threated to sue Steve for $60 million in 2016 after the security guard tried to open up about the employment. Ye claims Steve signed a confidentiality agreement, though the security guard is denying it.

Kanye has faced a number of toxic workplace and discriminatory behavior from former employees. He’s reportedly paid a number of undisclosed settlements to former employees over such situations, including spewing antisemitic comments.

One first-hand account from an employee claims he was fired after suggesting they play Drake’s music in the office.

Other complaints say Ye would berate staff for wearing the “wrong” colors.

Similarly, Kanye’s former manager filed a lawsuit against him after being fired only months into an 18-months contract. Thomas St. John was hired to act as Yeezy’s Senior Financial Advisor and Chief Financial Officer, with a monthly salary of $300,000.

In total, the ex-manager is hoping to win a $4.5 million settlement, which includes the remainder of his contract as well as punitive damages.

However, in December, Thomas said that he’s been unable to serve Kanye with paperwork in order to move the lawsuit forward.
