Kim Zolciak-Biermann Denies $2.5 Million Mansion Is In Foreclosure
Kim Zolciak-Biermann is denying reports that her Georgia mansion is in foreclosure, calling the situation a “misunderstanding.”
Earlier this month, it was reported that Kim and her husband Kroy Biermann’s home was set to be auctioned off by Truist Bank after they defaulted on a $1.65 million loan they took out in October 2012 when buying the property.
The auction is set to take place in front of the Fulton County Courthouse on March 7. It’s unclear how much the starting bid will be, but the 7-bedroom house is currently worth $2.5 million.
Even though Kim, Kroy, and their six children are expected to need to vacate the property soon, reports say that the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star is in denial about the situation.
"She is telling everyone this is a misunderstanding and is being sorted out," a source told PEOPLE. "She's not moving."
Kim hasn’t been shy recently to give her followers an insider look at the property. Last Sunday, she posted a video of her husband vacuuming only in his underwear. "Get yourself a man that does it all, folks, okay? Mhm...yes sir," she said in the clip.
A second source told PEOPLE that her social media behavior is a way to avoid the gravity of the situation.
"She's showing off her house for a reason right now," they explained. "She's showing she's still there like, 'What's the problem? She doesn't care."
This isn’t the first time Kim has denied the speculation over her home. In November, she posted a video on her Instagram Story calling the reports were untrue.
"Ok you guys, my house has not sold for $257,000," she said in the video while panning the camera around to show off her home. "If you guys think I would let my home that we've put millions and millions of dollars into go for $257,000, you're an idiot, okay? For real.”
"So, what are you gonna do, haters, when I'm here for Christmas, and I'm here for my birthday in May, and I'm here for all these amazing dates?” Kim continued.
"I'm here until I f—ing want to move, until I decide I don't want to live here anymore. So, enjoy the view, haters. You're going to be seeing it for quite some time," the reality star added.
