Kim & Kanye’s Daughter North West To Release Beauty, Toy Lines
Nowadays, the Kardashians aren’t only known for reality television. Nearly every family member owns a business (or two) that helps bring in a consistent source of income, and it looks like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s eldest daughter could be launching her own brand.
North West is only 9-years-old, but Kim reportedly filed trademarks that suggest she could be helping her daughter launch skincare and toy collections.
According to Page Six, North’s name has been trademarked so it can be used with a variety of products, “including moisturizers, skin serums, facial oils, bath gels, nail polish, shampoo, hair gel and more, as well as toys of all kinds.”
The SKIMS founder reportedly also filed trademarks involving her other children’s names, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
North has showed off her love of makeup and beauty on social media, where she’s amassed millions of TikToks on followers, largely due to her creative videos, which include skincare routines and special effects makeup.
There’s no word on if or when North will be coming out with her own products, but it’s not the first time the family has filed trademarks well in advance.
For example, in March 2021, Kris Jenner reportedly trademarked her name so she could launch a skincare line. The matriarch trademarked the phrases “Kris Jenner Skincare,” “Kris Jenner Beauty,” and “Kris Jenner Skin.”
“About four or five years ago, I decided to formulate a skincare line … I had some samples done up,” she told WSJ Magazine at the time.
“So, I do have a skincare line that I love that’s ready to go,” Kris continued. “When the time is right, a year from now, maybe two — I just think it’s really important for older women to realize that if they just take care of their skin, it’s not complicated.”
So far, Kris has yet to launch her skincare line or release any more details.
Like Kim, Kylie Jenner has also made headlines for trademarking her children’s names. In July 2021, she appeared to trademark her daughter Stormi’s name for future business ventures.
Documents showed that she filed multiple trademarks for different products dating back to 2019, including “dolls, bath toys, toy cookware, puzzles, educational toys and more.” There were also trademarks filed for skincare products as well as a clothing line.
As of now, Kylie hasn’t allowed Stormi to release her own brands. But the trademarks give her flexibility in the future, and ensures that her daughter’s name is protected.
