Kanye West Loses Six-Figures Selling Home Across The Street From Kim Kardashian

It hasn’t even been two years since Kanye West bought a home directly across the street from his ex-wife Kim Kardashian’s main residence during their tumultuous divorce. But Ye recently sold the property for a loss amid financial problems.

According to Dirt, Kanye sold the Hidden Hills property for $4.25 million to an undisclosed real estate developer, after buying it for $4.5 million in December 2021.

The rapper apparently had big plans for the property. He wanted to tear down the existing structure and create his own custom mansion. However, renovations never began. In fact, Dirt claims that Kanye never even spent a night at the Hidden Hills estate, despite it being located so close to his kids.

When he bought the property, sources said Kanye only wanted it for the “location,” explaining he believed it would make co-parenting go smoother. At the time, Ye was also making comments about hoping to reconcile with his then-estranged wife.

However, Kim and Kanye’s divorce was finalized the year after. The rapper has admitted their four kids are with Kim “80 percent” of the time. He was also ordered to pay her $200,000 per month in child support.

Many of Kanye’s real estate plans have been put on the backburner amid reports of ongoing legal and financial issues.

In February, for example, it was reported that Kanye’s $2.2 million LA ranch has been left abandoned. Aerial photos show the property in a dilapidated state. The rapper reportedly wanted to begin renovations on the ranch in 2019 but failed to get the proper permissions. It now appears he’s simply abandoned the property.

Kanye experienced intense financial fallout in the wake of his controversial behavior last year. Many companies pulled the plug on their professional relationship with Ye, including Adidas, despite having a decade-long partnership with his Yeezy brand.

After losing his Adidas collaboration, Kanye was removed from Forbes’ billionaire list. His net worth has apparently been sinking since.

The controversial rapper is also currently fighting a series of lawsuit. Perhaps the biggest is a $250 million case filed by George Floyd’s family over defamatory statements Ye made about his death.

Kanye is also being sued for millions by his ex-manager over wrongful termination. The case has had issued proceeding because Ye is allegedly difficult to get a hold of.

In February, it was reported that Kanye’s new wife Bianca Censori has taken charge of his businesses in an effort to save his fortune. Needless to say, Kim is likely happy her ex isn’t living next door anymore.
