Ariana Grande & Dalton Gomez Have A Prenup, But Their Divorce Could Still Get Messy

Ariana Grande may have already broken up with her new boyfriend, Ethan Slater, but it appears the pop star is still moving forward with her divorce from Dalton Gomez. While the estranged couple have a prenup in place, their split could still get messy.

According to reports, Ariana and Dalton signed an “iron-clad prenup” prior to their 2021 nuptials, intended to protect both of their assets.

“While the wedding seemed very last minute in her backyard with just close family and friends, legally nothing was left to the last minute,” a source told Radar Online. “Ariana’s lawyers were very involved in insisting that the groom signed an iron-clad pre-nuptial agreement.”

Since Ariana and Dalton were only engaged for 5 months before getting hitched, the insider says her family pushed her to get a solid prenup.

“Ariana’s brother Frankie and her mom are very protective over her. They both love and trust Dalton, but even so they would be stupid to not want her to get a prenup,” they continued.

Dalton has made his fortune as a real estate agent for high-paying clientele, and he reportedly has a net worth of $20 million. However, this pales in comparison to Ariana’s wealth, which is reportedly $240 million.

Though the details of the prenup remain unconfirmed, reports say that it specifies what assets ther pair will leave the marriage with. “[It] almost certainly protects all assets and income that either of them had prior to the marriage,” divorce attorney P. Tyler Summers told Page Six.

The lawyer added that the asset division will likely be “limited” since Ariana and Dalton were only married for a short time.

“He had stock to protect here both before and during as did she,” he continued. “When both spouses have financial success, chances are the prenup will specify that what she earned and acquired and vice versa will remain with them.”

Earlier this month, it was reported that Ariana had begun dating her Wicked co-star Ethan Slater, despite both of them being legally married to other people (Ethan welcomed a baby with his high school sweetheart last year).

Shortly after, it was reported that Ariana had filed for divorce from Dalton, though he allegedly is trying to win her back.

Ethan’s wife also subsequently filed for divorce and has publicly criticized Ariana to the media. This may have prompted Ariana to back off from Ethan, however, as the pair are reportedly giving each other space after experiencing public backlash over their new romance.
