Kendall Jenner Disses Her Sisters By Revealing Why She Refuses To Open A Beauty Brand Like Them

Many of the Kardashian-Jenners have their own beauty brands, like Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics and Kim Kardashian’s SKKN brand. But don’t expect Kendall Jenner to follow suit. The supermodel recently opened up about why she doesn’t see herself entering the beauty business, unlike her famous sisters.

"I love wearing makeup, playing around with it, and learning from makeup artists on set, but I never really saw myself being in a lab creating products," Kendall said in a new interview with W Magazine.

"I think I'll leave that to the pros who know what they're doing and have a passion for it—like my sisters,” she explained.

Though Kendall may have no desire to enter the beauty business, she does have her own alcohol brand – 818 Tequila – which she launched in 2021, though it’s already been the subject of a copyright infringement lawsuit.

It's unclear how much Kendall’s brand is worth two years after its launch, but if it’s seen any success comparable to her sisters’ brands, then it’s likely a booming business.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that Kim’s fashion brand SKIMS achieved a $4 billion valuation following Kim's successful securing of $270 million in fresh funding. This accomplishment becomes even more remarkable considering the brand's relatively short history, as Kim launched it only four years ago.

SKIMS has also announced its plans to expand into storefronts, both in the U.S. and internationally. The company is in active preparation for the launch of its physical store in Los Angeles, scheduled for the early months of 2024.

They've reportedly secured a retail space spanning over 5,000 square feet, strategically situated on Sunset Boulevard in proximity to well-known stores like Supreme and Kilth.

“Kim and I can envision a future where years from today there’s a Skims store anywhere in the world you’d find an Apple store or a Nike store,” Jens Grede, the SKIMS’ co-founder and chief executive officer, said of the brand’s upcoming plans.

“It marks the second chapter,” she went on. “Our strategy going forward is to open important stores in the world’s most important cities.”

Kylie’s makeup brand, Kylie Cosmetics, has had an equally impressive run since its launch in 2015. The makeup brand is currently valued at $900 million, almost making the reality star a billionaire.
