Rapper T.I. And Wife Tiny Win $71 Million In Lawsuit Against Dolls Maker
Rapper T.I. and his wife, Tameka Tiny Harris, have been awarded $71 million in a lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, the makers of the popular L.O.L. Surprise! dolls. The lawsuit, filed by the couple, alleged that MGAs line of O.M.G. dolls had unlawfully copied the likeness of members of the now-defunct teen pop group OMG Girlz. The group was founded by Tiny 15 years ago, and included her daughter Zonnique Jailee Pullins and other young artists, such as Lil Waynes daughter Reginae Carter. The legal dispute centered around seven dolls in MGAs O.M.G. line, which T.I. and Tiny argued were inspired by the OMG Girlz. The Live Your Life rapper and his wife of 14 years claimed that the dolls were strikingly similar in appearance and name to the OMG Girlz, which led to a protracted legal battle with MGA.
