10 Soccer Stars Who Love A Trip To Ibiza | TheRichest
Jetting off on holiday gives us all a chance to relax and get away from the stress of our work life - and, believe it or not, the same can be said for rich & famous athletes.
Today, we want to run through some footballers who enjoy a trip over to the party town in order to let loose and just sort of chill out a bit with all of their lovely money and endless luxuries. P.S: we don't expect you to subscribe to the belief that these are the only 10 footballers in the world that go to Ibiza. That would be silly.
10 Luis Suarez
People just do not seem to like Luis Suarez very much and it isn’t exactly hard to understand why. From the numerous allegations about his behavior on the pitch to some of his anger issues and beyond, it’s easy to forget that he’s actually really good at football (or soccer depending on your personal preference).
He enjoys a trip to Ibiza as much as anyone, though, and he does so with some friends that you may recognize later on in this piece. Was that enough of a hint for you guys? Good.
9 Cristiano Ronaldo
It’s a sunny place and there are lots of expensive ways in which to enjoy the amenities it provides, so of course Cristiano Ronaldo is a bit of a fan when it comes to hanging out in Ibiza.
There’s a wide variety of footage of him over there that includes CR7 hanging out with friends, partners and even his family. It’s an all-inclusive type of holiday, and at this stage of his life, Cristiano has been through pretty much every single phase a man possibly can in regards to how he enjoys his holidays.
8 Wayne Rooney
The best thing about Wayne is that he quite literally does not care about what standard conventions dictate he should do or how he should behave. He just goes out and does what he wants, which includes sunning it up in Ibiza.
It’s been well documented that he’s had his fair share of issues with going too far when he’s away from home, but we prefer to look at his time spent with Coleen and the family when overseas. Either way, though, you just know that he is someone who can put them back with relative ease.
7 Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Zlatan is the sort of figure that demands your attention whenever you enter the room and, in many ways, it’s hard not to give it to him. The popular Swede is a little bit over the top and perhaps a bit too in your face, but that’s just the guy’s style.
He enjoys the arrogant side of the game and bringing a bit of showmanship to football, whereas on holiday, he just wants to relax and enjoy his time away from the spotlight. As such, we can picture him popping on over to Ibiza and other holiday destinations every other week once he finally decides to retire.
6 Dele Alli
When you’re young and rich it’s common to go all out, and that’s exactly what Dele Alli did (and perhaps still does) in Ibiza. He took photos with everyone, hung out with his girl, met fellow celebrities and just generally did everything in his power to block out the haters and focus on the positives.
After all, footballers of his stature tend to receive quite a lot of abuse, which isn’t exactly something we really advocate for. So, while he shouldn’t flaunt himself around too much, enjoying a nice break is warranted.
5 Tom Cleverley
From getting into fights alongside some of his fellow Premier League stars to enjoying a surprise birthday celebration courtesy of his partner, it’s safe to say that Ibiza is the sort of place Tom won’t be forgetting in a hurry.
The former Manchester United star may not have been able to ascend to the sorts of heights that had been set out for him when he was a youngster, but the guy is still a capable Premier League player that some would argue is a bit underrated. It’s all a case of personal preference.
4 Danny Welbeck
Danny Welbeck seems to mix the stereotype of looking like a massive tourist with looking really smooth when chatting up a group of girls pretty flawlessly. Again, he isn’t regarded as one of English football’s top stars anymore, but he doesn’t really need to be.
He’s happy with the life he’s leading, and could probably afford 200 more holidays of this nature away in Ibiza before we can even afford one. We’re incredibly jealous, but we also massively respect his hustle on the pitch which isn’t actually spoken about enough.
3 Lionel Messi
The world’s greatest footballer tends to enjoy the quieter side of Ibiza life, and we quite like that. As opposed to going out and partying every single night he prefers to spend time with those who are closest to him in more remote sections of the surrounding bays and resorts.
While going away with his family has obviously always been a priority, he’s also been spotted hanging out with Cesc Fabregas and the aforementioned Luis Suarez. For some reason we just can’t imagine that being a trio that works, but we’re happy to be proven wrong.
2 Peter Crouch
There’s footage of Peter Crouch getting into a dance-off, looking like he’s high as a kite and also lifting his wife up onto his massive shoulders. That’s the sort of persona you’re going to get with a guy like Crouchy who, for the most part, is one of the most underrated English forwards of his generation.
There’s so much to love about this guy and the best part is that he has learned to love himself more than most people probably would. He can handle the fame and adulation, and that’s not always the case with footballers.
1 Sergio Ramos
He’s not the nicest bloke on the pitch but he must be doing something right off of it if he’s away in Ibiza hanging out with none other than NBA star James Harden.
Ramos is a good looking guy and he belongs on the beach where he can tan it up and think back over all of the people he’s been able to rattle in the beautiful game over the years. He could happily retire tomorrow and have all the money in the world, but that just isn’t his style – and it’s really difficult not to respect that on some level.
