There is an age-old question that plagues people's minds and is referenced in almost every situation, red pill or blue pill? The 1999 science fiction film, The Matrix, not only became a cult classic film but changed the way people say the technological world. The film written by the Wachowski's takes place in a futuristic world where the human population has no idea they are living in a simulation, the Matrix.
Neo (Keanu Reeves) breaks free from the simulation by taking the red pill. Neo is believed to be their salvation to destroy the machines who created the Matrix. The film became a major success and led to a sequel of films but where are the actors now?
10 Belinda McClory (Switch)

Belinda McClory played Switch in the first installment of The Matrix. Switch is a crew member of the Nebuchadnezzar, a Zion hovercraft. She is one of the free humans from the simulation. When traveling into the Matrix, she is the only crew member who wears all white.
McClory is an Australian film, television and stage actress with her most recognized role being The Matrix. She has been a part of many Australian film productions including X: Night of Vengence (2011) and Turkey Shot (2016), both of which she was also a writer. In 2014, she played the main role in the show The Doctor Blake Mysteries (2014-17). She also played a small role in the Australian show Glitch (2017).
9 Matt Doran (Mouse)

Australian actor Matt Doran played Mouse in the film. Mouse is the youngest member of the Nebuchadnezzar. He takes an interest in Neo for possibly being The One. Mouse talks to Neo about false perceptions of taste created by the machines and why everything tastes like chicken. He also has an obsession with The Women in Red, who he takes credit for designing.
Matt Doran, in 2002, played Elan Sleazebaggano in Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones. In the 2013 film Battle of the Damned, he played Reese. Doran also had a role in the 2017 thriller drama film, Trafficked as Gameboy.
8 Anthony Ray Parker (Dozer)

Dozer is another member of the Nebuchadnezzar and works various roles on the ship. He is the pilot, performs medical aid and makes sure the crew is in good health. Dozer was naturally born in Zion, the last human city on Earth. He has two siblings named Tank and Zee and a wife and children.
Dozer is played by actor Anthony Ray Parker. After The Matrix, Parker played a supporting role in the 2006 film The Marine starring John Cena. He also played Buddy McDeere in Shadowboxing 2: Revenge (2007). Parker played the role of Sanus in the 2016 shoe, Spartacus. He played a small role in the 2019 show Euphoria.
7 Marcus Chong (Tank)

Tank is in charge of operations on board of the Nebuchadnezzar. He was also naturally born in Zion like his bother and sister, Zee and Dozer. Tank is in charge of preparing Neo with all the necessary information about the machines. He puts Neo in the Construct, that allows them to train and gain valuable skills like martial arts in a simulated reality.
Actor Marcus Chong played Tank in the film. After the film, he appeared in small roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2002) and Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2002). Chong's most recent on-screen work includes a guest appearance on Burn Notice in 2010. In 2019, Chong published a book titled The Kill Off.
6 Robert Taylor (Agent Jones)

Agent Jones is played by actor Robert Taylor. Agent Jones is a created simulation created by the Machines to hunt down and eradicate Neo and the members of the Nebuchadnezzar. He is a cohort of Agent Smith and Brown and fights against Neo on various occasions.
Robert Taylor's most recent film works include roles in Kong: Skull Island (2017), Don't Tell (2017) and The Meg (2018) as Dr. Heller. In 2012 until 2017, he played the lead role as Sheriff Walt Longmire in the show Longmire.
5 Joe Pantoliano (Cypher)

Cypher is an operator who, like the rest of the crew, helps free humans from the Matrix. He becomes disgusted by the grim reality outside of the Matrix and regrets taking the red pill. His most famous line is," You know..I know this steak doesn't exist. I know when I put it in my mouth; the Matrix is telling my brain that it is juicy and delicious. After nine years.. you know what I realize? Ignorance is bliss."
Recently, he was in the films The Brawler (2018), Feast of Seven Fishes (2018) and Bad Boys for Life (2019). He also appeared in Netflix's Sense8 (2015-17) in five episodes.
4 Hugo Weaving (Agent Smith)

Agent Smith is the ultimate simulation created by The Machines. He is an agent of the system created to stop any threat to the Matrix. He becomes the films' main antagonist. Agent Smith is able to manifest anywhere or transform other agents into himself. He is superiors in strength and speed compared to the other agents.
Hugo Weaving played the character and is known for his other roles in The Lord of the Rings (2001-2003), The Hobbit (2012-2014). His most recent roles include Hacksaw Ridge (2016), Mortal Engines (2018) and Hearts and Bones (2019).
3 Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity)

Trinity is one of the main members fo the Nebuchadnezzar. She was also a hacker and computer programmer who escaped the Matrix. She primarily serves as Morpheus's main operative in contacting humans in the Matrix to help escape. She soon builds a close connection to Neo and becomes his love interest. Trinity is played by actor Carrie-Anne Moss.
Moss went on to take part in The Matrix's next sequel films. Her recent films works include playing Elizabeth Frankenstein in Frankenstein (2015), Brain on Fire (2016) and The Bye Bye Man (2017). Moss has also appeared on television. She played Jeri Hogarth in Jessica Jones from 2015 until 2019.
2 Laurence Fishburne (Morpheus)

Laurence Fishburne plays one of the main roles as Morpheus, the captain of the Nebuchadnezzar. Morpheus believes in "the prophecy" told by The Oracle that there is one human to escape the Matrix that will save mankind and destroy the Machines. He devotes his life to finding The One and his crew start to believe in the same.
Fishburne is a credited actor with many film and television roles under his name. In 2017, he joined costar Keanu Reeves as The Bowery King in John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) and John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum (2019).
He also had roles in Where'd You Go, Bernadette (2019) and Running with the Devil (2019). In the show Hannibal (2013-2015), he played Jack Crawford. Fishburne is the executive producer of the ABC show Grown-ish (2018) and producer for the show Mixed-ish (2019). In Black-ish (2014), he plays Earl "Pop" Johnson and is the executive producer.

Neo is aware that something isn't right in the world he lives and consistently looks for someone named Morpheus. Neo is believed to be The One in the prophecy to save humankind and destroy the Machines.
Nowadays, he is also known for portraying John Wick in the franchise films John Wick (2014-2019). He recently appeared in the third installment John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum (2019). He also voiced Duke Caboom in Toy Story 4 (2019).
He played himself in Always Be My Maybe (2019) and will reprise his role in Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020). Reeves plays voices Sage in The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run (2020). In 2016 until 2018, he played Tex in the web series Swedish Dicks. In the 2020 role-playing video game, CyberPunk 2077, he voices Johnny Silverhand.
