Ryan Reynolds Crashes Hugh Jackman's X-Men Reunion

Hugh Jackman held a reunion on Zoom for the stars of the original X-Men movie, and somehow, Ryan Reynolds managed to crash the party.

With most of the world stuck at home for the past three months, just like a lot of the rest of us, actors have found themselves with not a lot to do. No movies are being released in theaters right now which means nothing to promote. Plus, sets around the world have been shut down until it's safe for them to reopen and for production to resume.

That has prompted a lot of actors to spend their free time reuniting with co-stars from the past for the entertainment of their fans. Parks and Rec did it, The Office has done it, and now a few members from the very first X-Men movie have jumped on the bandwagon too. Patrick Stewart and co. decided to go in a slightly different direction with it, though.

The short Zoom call featured stars from various X-Men timelines and was more of a sketch than a nostalgic reunion. It begins with Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, and Famke Janssen reminiscing over the very first X-Men movie, which is now 20 years old. The call is then crashed by Ryan Reynolds, who played a poorly-received version of Deadpool in X-Men: Origins.

Reynolds then really messes with the timelines by inviting Sophie Turner and James McAvoy into the call. That prompts our favorite line of the call when Janssen asks "what's happening?" and Reynolds responds, "it's just like the X-Men movies, it doesn't matter." The awkwardness brought about by Reynolds' intrusion leads to everyone else leaving the call, citing that they have different reunion calls to get to, including James Bond and Star Trek-themed Zooms.

It eventually leaves Jackman and Reynolds alone together, which prompts the latter to switch up the direction of the call. The Deadpool star suggests that since it's only him and Jackman left, they make it an X-Men: Origins reunion. At that point, Liev Schreiber, who played Sabretooth in the spinoff, joins the call, to which Jackman reacts with an exasperated look. Did the Aussie not have a Greatest Showman reunion he could have used as an excuse to duck out like the rest of the cast?
