Gordon Ramsay's Brutal TikTok Cooking Reviews Are Saving Our 2020
Gordon Ramsay has been reviewing people's cooking on TikTok and in typical Ramsay fashion, he refuses to hold back.
There are more TV chefs than we can count at this point. Like anything that there is a glut of, TV chefs have to be a little different and something special in order to stand out. At this point, Gordon Ramsay might be the most famous TV chef of all. One of the reasons for that is his foul mouth and brutal honesty when it comes to his many reality cooking shows, as well as his terrific cooking ability.
Ramsay is also very social media savvy, something he can probably attribute to having children who use the platforms. A few years ago, Ramsay took to Twitter to critique and review what was mostly terrible cooking from other users. The chef has revived that social media series on TikTok recently, and it is even better than we remember.
TikTok users will presumably nominate their videos, or be nominated by others, for Ramsay to watch and react to. The chef will then record himself as he watches the abominations and posts them to TikTok side-by-side. Like the rest of us, Ramsay has likely had a lot of free time on his hands recently, hence why almost his entire TikTok timeline is made up of these clips.
One of our favorites is an American trying to recreate traditional British fish and chips. That will be the last thing a Brit like Ramsay will want to see. Although the original video appears to be a troll, it is still funny to watch the chef react. He despairs at the thickness of her batter and loses the plot when she places it in the microwave. People using microwaves is a common thread throughout these videos.
Other must-watch Ramsay TikTok posts include a scathing review of someone's sweet potato mash and someone who "improves" their prepacked mac and cheese by crushing Wotsits on top of it. For anyone reading this outside of the US, Wotsits are basically the British version of Cheetos.
