Henry Cavill Might Appear In The Witcher: Blood Origin: Here's How

Netflix has announced a Witcher series set 1200 years before the events of season one, but that doesn't mean Henry Cavill can't be a part of the fun.
While Netflix will have expected The Witcher to be popular, chances are it didn't bank on exactly how popular it would be after just one season. According to the latest figures revealed by the streaming service, the first season of The Witcher was watched by more people than any other debut season in Netflix history.
It stands to reason that Netflix would want to get while the going is very, very good when it comes to The Witcher. Season two is coming soon, an animated movie based in The Witcher universe is also on the way, and the latest reveal is that a prequel to the events of season one is being worked on too. The Witcher: Blood Origin which will take place 1200 years before season one.
Henry Cavill's Geralt might be tougher and live longer than a human, but he certainly isn't immortal. However, just because Geralt wasn't around 1200 years ago doesn't mean he can't be a part of Blood Origin. The six-part limited series will tell the tale of the first-ever Witcher and even though the two aren't related, since Witchers are infertile, Cavill could play the role.
Granted, that might be a little confusing for casual viewers. Many will see a Witcher who looks almost identical to Geralt and assume they are related, or perhaps even the same person and that Witchers live forever. A much simpler option would be to have Cavill narrate the show as Geralt. It will tell the tale of the first of his kind after all, so who better to relay that story?
There's also the possibility that Netflix utilizes flashforwards to link Blood Origin to the events of the main series. Having Cavill appear in the project in some way might well be key to its success. Casual viewers might tune out when they realize Cavill/Geralt isn't a part of it, or neglect to tune in at all since it doesn't pertain to what has happened in season one, or what will happen in season two.
