These Are Michael C. Hall's Most Expensive Purchases

Michael C. Hall harbored the ambition of becoming an actor from a young age when he acted in school plays and performed in choirs. While he was confused about choosing a career between law or acting, he chose the latter. He worked on Broadway and earned a respectable name in theatre before becoming Dexter Morgan in the hit Showtime series Dexter. He made $150,000 per episode during the initial seasons, which later hiked to $350,000 per episode. He has made more than $4 million from the show every year and his supporting roles in movies.

While playing everyone’s favorite serial killer, Michael C. Hall made expensive purchases in his personal life, from lavish real estate and cars to bling jewelry and gym equipment to stay in shape while working on the show as a homicidal man. Let’s take a look at Michael C. Hall’s most expensive purchases.

Purchased in 2013, Michael C. Hall owns a quaint Spanish colonial home worth $3.82 million. The home was built in 1923 but featured modern amenities after extensive renovations. The six bedrooms and the six-bathroom house has a contemporary yet cozy interior, as stated by Architectural Digest. The living room is lined with a floor-to-ceiling built-in bookshelf separated by a sliding barn door from the dining room. The kitchen is stocked with modern appliances and marble countertops, while the Master Room is designed with a vaulted wood ceiling for an airy atmosphere. Lastly, the spacious home has a garden and swimming pool next to the guest house.

In November 2016, Michael C. Hall purchased a Lower Manhattan Condo for $4.28 million after getting married to editor and writer Morgan MacGregor. According to Variety, he paid $85,000 more than the asking price for the West Village apartment. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms on a 1,586 sq. ft. of land. The home has floor-to-ceiling windows, an open living room and kitchen concept, and stainless steel kitchen appliances. The Master Bedroom has a spacious bathroom with marble flooring, double-sink vanity, two walk-in closets, and separate shower spaces. The building has five-star amenities for the star, including a lush central courtyard, a 21-seater screening room, indoor swimming, and a golf simulator.

Michael C Hall owns only two cars, and one of the cars in his collection is a W8 Passat. An unusual car in the Volkswagen family, the W8 Passat, is no longer in production. Hall’s SUV features a W Configuration and 2 cylinder engine and produces 275 HP and 213 lb-ft of torque. The starting price of the W8 was $40,000, and it was offered in five-speed automatic or six-speed annual transmission. It is equipped with several features, including bi-xenon headlights, tinted and head-insulated windows, and a supple leather interior with wood accents. Additionally, the W8 Passat was available as a wagon. However, Hall owned the SUV version.

Purchased in 2011, the Audi S4 is a more luxurious car in his garage compared to the W8 Passat. The 2011 iteration went back to its roots as a sports sedan and featured a 3.0-liter direct-injection V6 engine. As mentioned by Driving, the powerful engine gives an output of 333 HP and 325 lb-ft of torque. The S Tronic transmission and six-speed manual gearbox make it a smooth drive and help the car prance from 0 to 62 MPH in 5.1 seconds. A corporate car, the S4 has a two-tone black and grey interior made with carbon-fiber inserts and quality materials. It comes with a base price of $58,800 and hikes to $68,350.

While Michael C. Hall began his career as a Broadway actor, he had to create a strong build to play the character of Dexter Morgan. Playing a serial killer, he had to maintain a powerful physique for the role. His workout included running on the treadmill for a minimum of 6 miles, performing martial arts, and weightlifting. He spends 3 hours every day working out, a habit he picked ever since the show, as noted by Pop Workout. A muscular body is not complete without a proper diet, and Hall takes supplements, proteins, and adequate water intake to remain fit through long hours of shooting.

The actor remains lowkey about lavish purchases, but he is known to shower people with presents and jewelry. Hall was engaged to his Dexter co-star Jennifer Carpenter who he was married to for three years. The actress was spotted wearing a Neil Lane engagement ring, and the brand is known to have an average starting price of $50,000. His current wife, Morgan MacGregor, is spotted wearing a diamond two-row wedding band that has an estimated cost upwards of $30,000.

From buying lavish family homes and automobiles to jewelry, Michael C. Hall only makes purchases for things that matter. An actor as brooding and mysterious as his character from Dexter, he likes to keep his personal life private. The actor is currently starring in the revival miniseries of Dexter called Dexter: New Blood.
